About the adventure

Premise: “It's okay mom”. Sara whispered, her tiny voice frail and hoarse. Riley felt the slight squeeze of her hand. Seeing her like this, imprisoned in bed surrounded by sub-par second-hand medical devices and in constant pain, broke Riley’s heart. The disease had spread rapidly throughout the small body, rendering it so weak she couldn’t even lift a limb anymore. Riley stroked her daughter's face gently, holding back tears. Sara would wither and die in agony over the coming months and there was nothing her mother could do about it. Single in Night City, she just couldn’t afford the life saving cyberware on her waitress’ wage. Her applications for the ten figure loan had been rejected everywhere. She remained there until Sara finally fell asleep, tucked her in carefully and stepped out of the bedroom into the living room where some of her friends had gathered for support. Seeing their compassionate faces, Riley finally broke down in tears. Erik, her closest friend and the owner of the bar she worked at, caught her mid-swoon and helped her to the nearby sofa. When Riley had recovered a bit Ben, Erik’s elderly father, spoke. “Look Riley. We’ve been talking. You and Sara are family to us, to all of us, and we want to help.” The others in the group nodded. Riley started shaking her head, she knew they couldn’t afford the BioTech treatment either. Erik however stopped her. “Just listen, Riley.” Ben continued: “I know it’s a lot of money, much more than any of us have seen in our lifetimes. But I think there is another solution. It still won't be cheap, but we all have some eddies saved and we think it can work.” Riley listened in silence to the old man’s plan, feeling for the first time in weeks a sparkle of hope. About the game “Ambrosia” is an introductory cinematic adventure written by me that takes about 2-3 three hour sessions to complete. We play using Foundry VTT, the Cyberpunk RED ruleset and the 2077 setting. You will be provided with several fully fledged and levelled characters to choose from and embark with a team of Nightrunners on an epic heist to acquire a working Ambrosia module, the only piece of tech that can save Sara’s life. Racing against the clock, this journey takes you and your team from the underbelly of Night City where misery breeds indifference and crime, all the way up to its top, facing the greed and corruption of the wealthy. You will encounter many of the dangers Night City has to offer, but will also be challenged to deal with your character's own inner demon. It too will have to be overcome to bring the mission to a successful conclusion. Expect a narrative-driven, roleplaying-focused game dotted with some deadly adrenaline-rushing combat. . This cinematic one-shot is for both new and experienced players, no matter where you come from, who your loved ones are or what pronouns you prefer. Will you be able to help Riley and save Sara?

How to prepare

1️⃣Signup to the Gaming Peeples discord, we will use this as our means of communication both in the game and beside it. https://discord.gg/nEGMMRmtNz 2️⃣Please read through the game primer and select a character, once your character is selected you will receive the full character background with more details and secrets. Since this is a trimmed down version of this game, the character of Xerox is unavailable and will be portrayed by me. 3️⃣Have a working Mic, no need for a camera as most people prefer to play without one. 4️⃣A day before the game starts, will send you a gamelink. You'll be given a login and pasword, please don't loose this pasword. Use this link to get into the game on game(day/night). ☎️There will not be a session 0. Characters will be premade and provided either before the game starts or when we start. 🥳Now you're ready to go and enjoy the game...🥳
