    About the adventure

Welcome to "Age of Legends", an epic 6 campaign set in a vast open world filled with danger, adventure, and opportunity. In this game, you'll take on the role of a hero seeking to rise from obscurity to become a legend of the realm. Your journey will be filled with challenges, from battles against fearsome monsters to political intrigue with powerful factions vying for control. The setting of "Age of Legends" is a world filled with magic, mystery, and wonder , and is about forging your own destiny, and rising to greatness through your own efforts. The world is yours to explore and conquer, and your choices will determine your path in life. Will you become a hero of the realm, a feared tyrant, or something in between? The choice is yours. As the game master, I like to encourage creativity, roleplaying, and player agency. The world is vast and open, and you're free to explore it as you wish. There will be challenges and obstacles to overcome, but the way you tackle them is up to you. Whether you prefer combat, diplomacy, or cunning schemes, there's a place for your playstyle in "Age of Legends".

    Gameplay details

Will go over this more in session 0, such as character creation and use of safety tool, Also below are tow of the core rules we will be doing. An "Epic 6" game is a type of tabletop RPG (such as Dungeons & Dragons) where characters are limited to a maximum level of 6. This is in contrast to the traditional RPG campaign where characters may advance to higher levels, with some campaigns even reaching level 20 or higher. In an Epic 6 game, the focus is on character development and storytelling, rather than on achieving high levels of power. Characters are still capable and competent, but they are limited in their abilities and must rely more on strategy and teamwork to overcome challenges. Epic 6 games are often used to create a more grounded and low-powered campaign, where the focus is on the journey rather than the destination. It can also be a good way to introduce new players to the game, as it allows for a simpler and more streamlined experience. Will also use The Gritty Realism rules is an optional variant for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition that changes the rate of natural healing and spellcasting rest for the players. Under the standard rules, characters can recover from injuries relatively quickly through short rests and long rests, and spellcasters can recover their spells after a long rest. However, the Gritty Realism rules aim to make the game feel more realistic and challenging by slowing down the rate of recovery. Under the Gritty Realism rules, short rests now take eight hours and long rests take one week. This means that players will need to plan their activities carefully and be strategic in their use of spells and abilities. Players will need to ration their resources more effectively, and the game will become more of a marathon than a sprint. The Gritty Realism rules add an extra layer of difficulty and strategic thinking to the game, encouraging players to think more carefully about how they approach combat encounters and challenges. It also encourages players to find ways to circumvent challenges through non-combat means, such as through negotiation, stealth, or clever use of skills and abilities.
