Age of Ashes - A High Fantasy Epic

About the adventure

Age of Ashes is a Pathfinder 2E Adventure Path taking heroes from level 1 to 20. What begins as a simple job to clear out a local ruin will soon become the greatest adventure of your life, as you explore exotic lands, battle malevolent cultists, and unearth a conspiracy that threatens the entire world. The Breachill Town Council often calls upon adventurers to deal with threatens in the surrounding wilderness. Usually, the tasks are quite simple - slay a wandering monster, drive off the local bandits, find a missing child. Today will seemingly be no different, as the Goblin Warbal Bumblebrasher petitions for aid in checking up on her missing tribe at nearby Citadel Altarein. What she doesn't suspect is the ancient secret waiting in Citadel Altarein - a secret of such magnitude that it could plunge all of Golarion into utter chaos and devastation.

How to prepare

Every player will require a microphone. We'll be communicating via Discord for this campaign. We will play via FoundryVTT, which can be accessed via your web browser at no additional cost to you. Please seek out an image to represent your character - you can draw it yourself, find something online, commission an artist, etc. We'll use this image to represent you in the VTT, so be sure to pick something you'll be happy looking at for a long time! If you can't find anything, you can let me know and I will be happy to help the search.

Gameplay details

My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming table for people of all identities. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns about content. I am happy to keep our conversations anonymous. This table does not tolerate hate speech or harassment towards other players. This campaign will feature a session 0 to set our expectations, as well as post-mortems after each session where you'll be able to voice any concerns, ideas, or other thoughts to the rest of the party. I aim to provide a fair, consistent game based on the Pathfinder 2e ruleset. You can expect some fierce battles in your quest to save Golarion, so be prepared to be on your toes! My hope is that you'll never feel like I pushed the scales in either direction - the outcome of your adventures will depend on your own tactics, thinking, and the luck of the dice.

How will character creation work

Characters begin at level 1. Each player will create a character independently, but will be able to discuss their plans with the other players in our Discord server. You will be given access to the Age of Ashes Player's Guide, which will help to inform your decisions. It's best to play a character who will get along well with a team - avoid lone wolves or sadistic evildoers! I will be available to anybody who needs help making their character. Feel free to use any method of character creation you wish (Pathbuilder, Wanderer's Guide, a Google spreadsheet, etc) - I will ensure it is properly ported into our FoundryVTT server. If you've never played Pathfinder 2E and don't know how to make a character, fret not - I will have pregenerated characters available that you may use for as long as you wish.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
