About the adventure

šŸŒŒ Explore the weird worlds of Spelljammer! šŸ’„ Save your home from annihilation! āš”ļø Live out the dream of a dashing space adventurer! You and your crew of interdimensional adventures have sailed the astral seas and made a name for yourself from the frontier of the rough-and-tumble trade port at the Rock of Bral to the fractious City of Doors. But now your world faces certain doom as the astral elven Xaryxian empire threatens to consume the stars themselves. Delve through the astral sea to visit bizarre realms, face terrifying enemies to protect an enigmatic space princess, and rally the disparate factions of the multiverse to defeat the immortal empire! -- Cinematic action, great worldbuilding, and strong pacing are my specialties as a DM - I'll bring energy and excitement to the game where *you* will be the heroes of a widescreen epic in the style of classic space opera! Gameplay details

Session zero will cover safety tools, walk through character creation as needed. We'll establish character bonds, the group's relationships to one another and to other factions. We'll also talk a little about your group's past adventures to assist role-play. The content warnings listed encompass a range of what *could* but will not necessarily show up. Our Lines & Veils will be a living list and we have tools for in-the-moment check-ins. Additional background: When the ancient and powerful empire of immortal Astral Elves sets their sights on the Rock of Bral, - the hub of Spelljamming life and your home port - your daring crew must leap into action and find a way to stop the empire, save the world, and avert galactic disaster! Traverse the far reaches of the multiverse on the Astral Sea - confront bizarre creatures, discover long-hidden secrets, meet its denizens. Will you assemble a coalition to save your homeland, face the overwhelming imperial force on your own, or find another way to contend with this never-before-seen galactic threat!

How will character creation work

Pre-generated characters will be available or you can make your own. We'll select or make characters together in session zero as we build our adventuring crew with relationships in place when we start playing so we feel like we're picking up in the middle of the story to cut right to the most important part. Players that join after session zero will have an option of a pre-gen character or make characters with me an hour before their first session. Character creation notes - Characters begin at 5th level, comprising the crew of a Spelljamming vessel (at least one person should be a spellcaster so you have a pilot). Your group has already traveled Wildspace and are coming into your own as heroes. You're willing to put their lives on the line to protect this otherwise-doomed world. Use the character creation rules from Tasha's - assign your ability modifier bonuses wherever you like (+2 to one stat, +1 to another, or +1 to three different stats). All characters begin with a feat at 1st level (variant humans therefore get 2 at first level) and feats are available as an option in the place of level-based ability increases. Use the standard array for stats (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8). You'll have starting gear per your class/background plus some more to represent your past adventures (I am not picky about gear and there will be loot). Please stick to class/subclass/race choices from: Players' Handbook. Monster Manual, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Volo's Guide to Monsters, and the Astral Adventurer's Guide. Custom material will be considered but please keep the space pulp focus in mind.
