About the adventure

An epic journey through a sequence of adventures like Dragon of Icespire Peak, Lost Mine of Phandelver, Storm's Lord's Wrath, Sleeping Dragon's Wake, Divine Contention, and lots of custom content with side-quests, bosses, and plots to be unraveled on the Sword Coast. So get ready to embark on a campaign from level 1 to 15. This adventure is perfect for beginners or for experienced players who want a prolonged adventure to develop their character and reach higher levels. Since each adventure has a level range, we will have a break of 1 week, where each player can decide whether they want to continue in a long campaign, or change their character, as well as open up for new players to join the new adventure. Dragon of Icespire Peak (level 1 to 6) Lost Mine of Phandelver (level 1 to 5) Storm's Lord's Wrath (level 7 to 9) Sleeping Dragon's Wake ( level 9 to 11) Devine Contention (level 11 to 13) Custom Finale (level 13 to 15) You can find a more detailed description of each of these adventures on D&D Beyond: www.dndbeyond.com.

How to prepare

You will need a computer with Discord, headphones, and a free account on D&D Beyond. Create your character in the D&D Beyond adventure: link. Access the Discord channel: link. And access FoundryVTT at the scheduled date and time: link. If you are a beginner, I will guide you during session 0 to create your character, but it would be interesting to have an idea of the character you want to play even without knowing the rules to create it, try to visualize it or have some character from games, series, or films as a reference, so I can help you with the rules. If you are already familiar with the system and with D&D Beyond, you can create your character using any rule from the official content (with the exception of Spelljammer and Eberron). To start, use point buy, we will define as a group whether there will be dice rolling or not.

What I provide

I will provide free access to FoundryVTT on my server and also share all my source books on D&D Beyond. They are: - Player’s Handbook - Dungeon Master’s Guide - Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything - Xanathar’s Guide to Everything - Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft - Monster Manual - Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse - Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons - Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide - Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen (Cannot share more adventure books, since I’m running those adventures and you may play one of them). I also redid all the adventure maps. I updated all monster and character tokens with art from Forgotten Adventures. In addition, I automated and animated FoundryVTT with various plugins. I aim to have a lot of handout images, music and ambient sounds, and I do my best in the portrayal of relevant NPCs and voices, to create the best immersion possible for the players.

Gameplay details

I strive to keep the game immersive, with roleplay and actions that really impact the world around you, the same goes for battles and plots, to try to escape from that mechanical game that becomes just dice rolling. OPEN DOOR: you can come and go from the adventure, no hard feelings. Especially considering that we will play a campaign of several smaller adventures, feel free to play the ones you prefer or even change characters during these intervals. BREAKS: At the end of each adventure, we will take a one-week break. As the sessions are not so long, we will not have breaks during the sessions except in situations like final boss battles where we can agree with the group to have an extended session with a 15-minute interval. AFTER CARE: It's important to know how the group and each individual is feeling, so at the end of each adventure we will have time to talk both as a group and individually (with those who wish) so that we can create a pleasant environment for everyone as well as adjust the campaign to meet the demands of the group, ensuring everyone will have fun and improve with each adventure. STARS AND WISHES: We will work together to create the best campaign for everyone focusing on positive feedback, so you can use the topic in our Discord channel for Stars (to highlight what you're liking in the game (about the game, the DM, the group, or whatever!) and Wishes (for what you would like to see in the future). Lines and Veils: I will share some of the content with you (avoiding spoilers) so that we can define boundaries or content changes to make everyone feel comfortable and enjoy the game. This can also happen during the game, if someone feels uncomfortable with certain content. ANONYMOUS FEEDBACK: I created a space on my website where you can send me feedback anonymously. Sometimes it's hard to give negative feedback and we end up avoiding it to not create conflicts or embarrassments, but they are extremely important to me, so that I can continue to develop and improve in these aspects.

How will character creation work

We will have a session 0 for character creation. We will use D&D Beyond for this! I'll be available to answer questions and teach how to create character sheets there. We will take advantage of this session for a brief summary of the adventure and to define classes and races along with the group (remembering that it's not mandatory to choose your character according to the others, but rather to play with the character that you will enjoy the most!). And also for a quick tutorial on FoundryVTT and the initial scene to unite the group.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Medium
  • Experience Level: Open to all
