About the adventure

Welcome to the Kuki Kingdom! Think Super Mario, but Koopas are the good guys this time, and it's in a D&D world! strange and wild characters are welcome to join the adventure across the Kuki kingdom's many regions. swim through the waterways of the merfolk clan of cheep-cheep. soar over the frozen mountains by skyship. fight through the plant-infested aqueducts, made from a strange green metal, to search for hidden treasure. The "Plumbers" are radical adventurers specializing in these ancient aqueducts and the magic power-ups within. By rerouting the waters they gain access to deeper and more ancient magics, but also droughts, floods, and other calamities in the process. Join in! Have fun with your own mario-themed characters, or just for a silly game with your regular D&D characters. I enjoy giving a fun and immersive RPG experience, with fun worlds, characters, and stories. We will adhere to the 1st important rule of the game: the Rule of Cool: If you want to do something that can reasonably be done, then rules will not get in your way to pull off a cool move. Each game will run 3-4 hours and include a self-contained storyline that fits into the grand story of the Living Campaign-style world of The Kuki Kingdom. I adhere to safety tools within the game to deliver a safe and welcoming environment where we can focus on fun. Pre-generated characters will be made available before the game if desired.

How to prepare

A microphone is required, but a webcam is optional. Players will be given the option to make their character following the character creation guide listed above. those who do not wish to make characters, or who do not have time can select from pre-generated characters made for the setting. A general understanding of your character's abilities is recommended. No dice, printouts, or software installs are required.

What I provide

I will provide maps, miniatures, and a unique module of my own creation.

Gameplay details

My games will often involve 1-3 combat encounters depending on the story and the players desire for combat, with 2-3 short breaks. I run the game with the idea that the players are the main characters in this story and that I am their biggest fan. I encourage the use of creative thinking to deal with encounters and enjoy hearing how awesome their characters can be.

How will character creation work

Players will be expected to bring fully developed characters to the game at the session start. I use a standard array for abilities: 17, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8. Character backstories can be kept to a minimum, as long as you have a general idea of how your character can play, and what motivations they have. you may have a 15-page backstory for your character, but it's not required. Races and Classes can be selected from any published WotC material. Other materials will be considered, but may not necessarily be approved

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: Medium
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Beginner
