About the adventure

It has been five hundred years since the Sunless War had killed the gods. The handful of cities that still remain are divided by harsh wilderness prowled by demons, angry spirits, and monstrosities. The arcane magic that led to this cataclysm is rarely trusted nowadays, and people have turned to the worships of nature spirits and ancestors. But now, people are moving on, creating wonders from the ashes, and there's no better time to be an adventurer. Times are changing. This is a homebrew campaign setting of low-magic, post-apocalyptic fantasy that has a variety of adventures, from slaying monsters, to wilderness exploration, to political intrigue. The continent of Ran is largely based on non-Western cultures, similar to Arabic, Mongolian, Japanese, and more! The campaign will start at 1st level and will likely end at around 15th level.

How to prepare

Players will need a Discord, D&D Beyond and Roll20 account. A mic is required and webcams are optional but recommended. Dice will be provided by the software. During the session zero, players should find artwork for their character token.

What I provide

I will provide custom maps and some illustrations of creatures. Moreover, I will provide a unique, memorable story unlike most D&D campaigns, and it will also incorporate memorable villains, monsters, and player backstories.

Gameplay details

A session 0 will be made before the campaign starts to make characters, introduce players to the setting, and set lines and veils. This campaign involves dark fantasy themes such as blood magic and fantasy racism, so the Monte Cook RPG checklist will help establish players' boundaries. During session breaks will be provided, and debriefing will come at the end of the session.
