Learn to play - Adventures in Phandalin

About the adventure

A combination of two Sword Coast adventures centered around the town of Phandalin: The Lost Mines of Phandelver and Dragon of Ice Spire Peak. Players will search of an ancient artifact while having to navigate with a dragon terrorizing the area. Hiding in the shadows or flying high above you; who knows what dangers await as you explore abandoned ruins, dark caves, and snow covered mountains? Grab your weapon and gear - adventure awaits! This campaign is great for new players looking to learn how to play D&D with a good balance of combat, exploration, and roleplay. Players will have a session 0 prior to the start of the adventure where we'll go over table rules and etiquette, safety tools, and very basic game mechanics. It's mostly learn as we go so you can start playing as soon as possible.

How to prepare

Players will need Roll20 for battlemaps, D&DBeyond and Beyond20(plugin), Discord. A mic/headset are recommended. Characters should be ready to play for the session (except session 0). This includes character art for a token (one will be provided if you have none). If you have physical dice, you may use them if you prefer.

What I provide

I'll bring the maps, the monsters, a treasure chest that's definitely not a mimic, and hopefully a memorable experience. Oh and so many bad puns. (I apologize in advance)

Gameplay details

Safety tools will get gone over Session 0 and a consent checklist will be sent to players prior to them playing. XNO cards can be used at any time during the session. We will have breaks as well. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.

How will character creation work

Players will have access to my character creation content on D&DBeyond. They can be created beforehand or during session 0. I am available to work with you if needed to help create your character. I do have some homebrew options available as well. If you do not have a character ready, I have some pregen characters you may use as well.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
