ACTUAL Dungeons & ACTUAL Dragons!

About the adventure

In adventure after adventure you were promised "Dungeons" & "Dragons", but how often have you actually been in a dungeon, or actually fought against a dragon? Not often enough I imagine. Well here's your chance to make up for lost time with "ACTUAL Dungeons & ACTUAL Dragons!" a series of one-off games where you are guaranteed at least one dungeon and at least one dragon per session. These games will be a pretty consistent format, giving players a chance to try out new or returning characters (if they survive that is) from one game to the next! All games are recorded and broadcast live on Twitch!

Additional Details

How to prepare

Make your characters in advance of game time so I can review them and make sure that you have all the bonuses you need! Please have a headset (or earbuds) and mic to reduce ambient noise and make sure we can hear you sufficiently. The Google Meet link will be posted in the recruitment notes, and I will let people in right around the start time for the game. If you have your own dice you can roll them, but you can also use the DnDBeyond roller, an app, or even Google if need be.

Gameplay details

All games are played in the theatre of the mind and explained in vivid detail by your dungeon master - DMingHadley! Expect some general descriptions of fantasy violence and the potential for gore (Dragons do make for dangerous adversaries). Players are encouraged to use "X" cards in chat as necessary, and if there are any questions or comments, before or after game, I'm glad to field them through chat or on Discord.

How will character creation work

Create level 9 characters at https://ddb.ac/campaigns/join/16711483805701139 drawing inspiration from my compendium of *PREMIUM* DnDBeyond content! In the "home" page of the character builder select all available source material besides Rick & Morty, change your hit points to *MANUAL* and confirm, and then on your "Class" tab you will input the "rolled HP" as the maximum available for your class and level. Choose your standard starting equipment, 900 gold (to be spent as you see fit on mundane goods - https://5e.tools/items.html ) and *TWO* uncommon magical items; implement, armor, weapon, etc. and get ready for at least one dungeon, and at least one dragon! As you hit fourth and eighth levels you will get BOTH the ability score improvements (on your class page of the character builder) and you should choose two feats on the character sheet under "features & traits" (if your character is human then you should have a total of 3 feats - 1 racial, and 2 from your class(es)). If you are multiclassing, then you will manually add those improvements under Ability Scores. We play with open spell books, so if you are a magic user, you will have a lot of versatility, being able to swap prepared spells as you see fit. Essentially, as long as you have the appropriate spell slot/sorcery points available you can cast any spell that you have access to.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
