About the adventure

This is the first part of the Starter Set Campaign for Star Trek Adventures. If you're a fan of Star Trek but never played Star Trek Adventures (STA) or want to play more, this really is the best place to start! I'm an experienced GM with years of play under my belt in D&D and a performer at heart. I have played half a dozen sessions of STA and want to play more! I'm well versed in the lore and really enjoy these game mechanics. If you've played Conan the RPG you'll feel right at home in this system. ANYONE and EVERYONE is welcome! *Game time can vary based on player familiarity with the mechanics and enthusiasm for roleplay.

Gameplay details

Star Trek Adventures is less about slaying your enemies or finding loot and more about asking questions and exploration. By asking questions and problem solving as a team, you solve mysteries. It's like the TV shows, something goes terribly wrong or you encounter a new force/phenomena and must find a solution (diplomatic/technological/defensive). - Roleplay is optional but certainly more fun! I will be roleplaying the NPCs with voices for you. - Combat is very much a part about exploration at times which diplomacy fails. - Puzzles will be abundant with solutions that you create as a team. - Experience is not required but it will make the game flow better. I welcome new players and expect to be teaching as we go : ) This really is a great way to live out your dreams of flying through the universe of Star Trek. Piloting starships, fighting hostile aliens, and struggling with your own technology. *Just like the shows, this adventure is family friendly!

How will character creation work

Grab a friend or family member and board the USS Magellan, you are a member of her senior staff! I will provide pre-made character sheets for this session, you'll be able to choose from among these roles: - First Officer - Chief Medical Officer - Chief of Security - Conn Officer - Chief of Engineering

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
