About the adventure

For thousands of years, the Elven Kingdoms have played their games of geo-political chess. And everyone else pays the price. Humans are used and spent like coin in wars, labor projects, and even games of entertainment. Comparatively weaker races like Halflings reduced to demeaning and shameful positions of servitude. The tribal races of Orcs and Goblins and their ilk are exterminated mercilessly. But things changed in the year 12,955. On a calm spring day, the sky split open in an event known as the War of Adall. A serf uprising resulted in the destruction of a temple to Adall, the patron diety of the Elves. This event caused such an emotional uproar on both sides, the ancient pantheon of gods worshipped in secret by the disparaged races came to deliver their faithful. Many violent uprisings and equally violent reprisals later, the first refugee ships landed on the shores of a new home. The year is now 12,971. Adall has fallen silent since recieving an ethereal wound at the hand of the Orcish god of war. The dwarven natives regard the new arrivals with suspicion, and the first settlements are beginning to spread their roots in a place free of slavery and despotism. Until the first elven ships are spotted off the coast. Indepentent city states scramble for solutions. Some raise militias, others begin peace treaties. From the manors of various leaders, to the tap rooms in hushed tones, the people deliberate what can be done. No army could go toe-to-toe with the Elven elites and emerge victorious. The Elves are unlikely to take any sort of demands or peace offers seriously. Rabble-rousers call the people to action, while the timid and meek beseech leaders to pursue any methods that will end with the least bloodshed. In a place full of savage wildlife, mysterious and powerful natives, political turmoil, and a looming threat to plunge the world into a permanent dark age of immortal rule, what could any one person hope to achieve?

Additional Details

How to prepare

I am willing to use voice or text to perform a session, and most digital platforms have dice and models and chat options available. The only thing I ask players to think about before a session is how they want their character to appear to everyone else. The team leader, the one who's only in it for the money, or someone with a juicy secret.

What I provide

I will provide myself with any software necessary to play a session online. I can create character images digitally (though don't expect a Da Vinci).

Gameplay details

This game involves heavy themes involving violence, slavery, religious extremism, and racial prejudice. Sessions will often consist of players collecting information and planning their next move to either help or hinder the efforts of local and invader efforts.

How will character creation work

Character creation can be done with any style or speed, at any time. The only requirement is I should either be present during the creation process, or the completed sheet should be sent before the game so I can ensure you aren't unfairly prepared or unprepared.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: Medium
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Open to all
