About the adventure

For some, Otari is just another coastal town that supplies salted fish and freshly cut timber to sate the ever-growing appetites of the nearby metropolis of Absalom. But for you, Otari is home. You grew up playing in the docks, getting lost in the nearby woods, and swapping tall tales of the the travelers and hopefuls that sought to follow in the footsteps of the town's heroic founders. Such adventures seemed so distant to you, as fleeting as a slide down the Loading Flume only to plunge, cold, into the Inner Sea... Until you overhear a panicked commotion at your local watering hole. Someone's dug a hole into the cellar, stealing the town's fish and disappearing into darkness. Something hungry. One would-be adventurer has already looked for the missing fish in vain, receiving only a bite torn out of her leg for the trouble. preserved in the cellar, have gone missing. You'll have to venture into the tunnel and bring the thieves to justice. Otherwise, the townsfolk will starve over the winter... and the thief may well decide that Otari is next on the menu! Menace Under Otari introduces new and beginning players to the Pathfinder 2E system, taking them through multistory dungeon where they'll get to the bottom of a conspiracy to steal the town's fish to feed a growing threat. Over the course of two or three sessions, they'll exterminate rats in a basement, uncover hidden places of (un)holy power, engage in tense negotiations with those who dwell beneath the city, and root out a menace that may well grow to consume the town if left unchecked.

How to prepare

For the best experience at my table, you'll need: ◆ A desktop or laptop computer ◆ A Discord account ◆ A microphone I also recommend: ◆ A mouse and discrete graphics card ◆ A video camera If you need any special accommodations for inclusion at my table, please reach out to me and I'll do my best to provide them.

What I provide

I run games on a richly customized Foundry server, complete with high automation, soundscapes, animations, and a willingness to improvise or elaborate on scenes that capture players' imagination. In particular, I strive to give players the opportunity to pursue deeper interactions with the core antagonists than hacking and slashing, if that is to their taste. All the while, I'm committed to walking you through the finer details of Pathfinder 2E and Foundry with patience.

Gameplay details
