A Haunted House

About the adventure

This will be a Dungeons and Dragons 5e game that will focus on exploration, role play, and some combat. The players goal will to be to figure out what is really going on in the story through teamwork. The game takes place in a large house once owned by a prosperous noble family. However, tragedy struck the family when their eldest daughter mysteriously disappeared. Since her disappearance, strange occurrences have plagued the house, causing the family to abandon it, Years later, the son of the noble family has shown interest in reclaiming the house for his new family. He has hired a group of adventures to clear out the abandoned house. This game will be player driven involving social interactions and exploration with a some combat as well. I am all about creative and interesting characters and solutions, so be creative. The game will have a spooky feel to it and may contain some themes not all will be comfortable with, however nothing too explicit will be discussed (game will have a PG-13 rating). I recommend players make characters that fit in with the themes of the one shot for the best experience possible. If you are looking for a spooky, mystery driven game, this is the one shot for you!

How to prepare

Players should prepare by getting a good understanding of the rules for the system. They should have their character sheets done prior to the session.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done by the players individually and must be done prior to the game. Players will create level 3 characters using any official Dungeons and Dragons 5e material, no Unearthed Arcana or Magic the Gathering settings. The players may generate stats through point buy or use the standard array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8).

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
