About the adventure

When the End Time comes, will you choose the Light? Or the Darkness..? 'A Fistful of Darkness' is a Weird West game based on Blades in the Dark, updated with a Western theme... After the discovery of a new substance called 'Hellstone' in the local mine, the town has experienced great prosperity - but also started the countdown to the End of Days! The Four Riders will be unleashed as time passes, until the Final Battle between the Light and Darkness. Before that happens, you and your posse have a narrow chance to buy your way into power and prestige in the New World - if you're made of the right stuff...

How to prepare

You will need... - A microphone and headset - to reduce sound issues for other participants. - A quiet place to play. - Discord and Roll20 accounts (free) - Cameras are optional, I like to use one so you can get the hand-wavy and facial expressions, but I know not everyone is comfortable 'on display'! Everything else is available virtually!

Gameplay details

The presence of a tag does not indicate a guarantee that it will be present. Lines and Veils will be observed at all times. X-cards are available on the VTT. Please be aware this is a horror setting. In keeping with the design of the game and the writers' intent, historical inaccuracies are intentional and remove some of the worst aspects of history. This game is fictional and is not set in a real-world or time location. Every effort will be made to observe cultural sensitivity. A link to Lines and Veils goes out once you're signed up. How will character creation work

Character creation is a collaborative process, as in all Forged in the Dark games, so it is much better to work on it collectively in Session 0. There is a Discord to discuss ideas beforehand, and late-joining players will be encouraged to create something that works within existing parameters!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
