About the adventure

Baldur's Gate has always been a rich city with an enormous political web. It has been prosperous since it's dawn and was a beacon of opportunity to those fleeing from war or looking for a place to settle. In the recent years the city has advanced. A new figure has arrived, Bjeckser Roan. And with him came otherworldly technology. The city propelled forward. As ships became airships, steam generated electricity and guns evolved to an everyday sight. And so did Roan climb the ladder of the city's highest members until he became Archduke. Unfortunately all this greatness came at a cost. Not only the city's wealthy used the technology for their own but also the Kingpings started territorial wars on a scale never experienced before. Baldur's Gate, now a city divided by small and big disputes of power and wealth lost its hold over its citizens. And true crime reigns terror. Only one man could bring this city back to order. The one who brought this chaos. Bjeckser Roan. He was the one who brought the technology so he would be the one to contain it. But he hasn't been seen in months. The party has received a note. From Bjeckser Roan. Telling them to meet him in the Zebarck Inn. A small rodent infested hut in the outer city. Why would a man of such wealth and power want to meet with the party? And why now? What could they possibly mean to him? Can they prove to be the true detectives this city so desperately needs?

How to prepare

You will need a discord account (free) and a roll20 account (free) that's accessible through the internet during the session. A microphone is required during play. A webcam is preferred but not necessary.

I bring a completely unique, self-written story and a lot of unguided missiles of energy.

How will character creation work

There will be pregenerated characters to choose from. If you want, you can make your own character. PCs will be lvl 5 with point buy for abilities. All official WotC material allowed. You can also add one "steampunk" feat but you have to check it with me for balancing reasons.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
