A Break in the Mist: A Domain of Dread and Curse of Strahd Campaign

About the adventure

This is a challenging twist to the Curse of Strahd campaign. Incorporating other Domain Lords and regions and how they interact with your party. This gothic horror will test your character’s physical and mental strength to navigate through the treacherous demiplane. Can your characters defeat the Lords and return to their homes? This is aimed to be a level 1 to 12-15ish range by the end of the campaign.

How to prepare

Players should have a good mic/headset. They should come to session 0 with character ideas. Since we are starting at level 1 it’s easy to change it up during the session. I use several common home brew rules that I’ll go over during session 0. Other than having the discord app (free), players don’t need any other software to play. Once in the campaign I will send out links to the game's discord and the game on Foundry VTT. Players can access and create their characters ahead of time if they wish to, but is not necessary.

What I provide

I use excellent maps along with background music and sound boards made specific for Curse of Strahd. I will voice act (as best I can) to have distinguishable NPCs and narrations. I specialize in making combat challenging within the official rules.

Gameplay details

Rated R: This campaign will include gruesome violence, horror (supernatural and suspense), eerie settings and music, references to drugs and alcohol, references to sexual encounters, cursing. I’ll have a thorough session 0 to go over everyone’s character, expectations, triggers, etc. so that we can draw lines for stuff to avoid. LGBTQ+ friendly.

How will character creation work

I will have a session 0 where a player can present their a pre made character or come with several ideas. We’ll flesh it out and discuss their ambitions for the story and ideas for later character levels. Characters will start at level 1, with the standard point buy method. I’ give out a free feat, but cannot be combined with a race that gets a free feat. I do not ban any races from official DND 5th edition content. I am open to homebrew material as well especially if it is from a major third party.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
