Asian American and Pacific Islander Charity Event! Game Masters, get ready to make a positive impact! StartPlaying is excited to announce our upcoming charity event in support of the Asian Mental Health Collective (AMHC). From May 1st to May 31st, GMs who run games on StartPlaying can donate 100% of their proceeds to AMHC for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. StartPlaying will match funds raised by all GMs in this way up to $1000. AMHC is dedicated to normalizing and de-stigmatizing mental health within the Asian community. Through their mission, AMHC hopes to bridge the generational and cultural divides that often exist in Asian families. Their mission statement says: As members of the Asian Diaspora, we often experience strong cultural underpinnings related to our mental health experiences that go unaddressed. To show our support, StartPlaying is waiving our standard 10% cut from bookings for all charity games, and we will match funds raised by all GMs up to $1000. This is a great opportunity to support a cause that directly impacts the AAPI community. Join us in supporting AMHC and the AAPI by participating in these charity games throughout May. Unfortunately due to how the donation model and payment system is set up, we cannot offer tax receipts for donations.
What games can I run?
Whatever game you like, as long as it does not go against our Code of Conduct or Terms of Service.
How much of the game fee goes to charity?
The entire booking fee goes to the charity. StartPlaying is waiving it's 10% cut, and participating GMs are donating 100% of their booking fees.
