About the adventure
Westlake is a city of contrasts. The neon signs light up the gothic inspired architecture of cathedrals, rumors of urban legends fill the hallways of universities and science labs, and the ever growing concrete progress of buildings growing up hides the dark secrets underground. In one of these dark corners lie the Kindred, colloquially known as vampires. They gather in secret, their existence unknown to kine, as they call humans, manipulating humanity through the shadows. The current vampire society of Westlake is in the hands of a tyrannical leader, ruling the vampiric society with cruelty and an iron fist. Naturally there are those that want to take down this tyrant, while others want to keep him in power for how it benefits their position, and there are even those that would love to take his place. While tensions rise in the All-Night society, you are a young vampire still trying to figure out your own Requiem, your undead life, and your place in the Danse Macabre, the complex social interplay between vampires. You may still have your mortal connections, the memory of the sun on your skin still relatively fresh, and you hold enough of your humanity where the curse of your vampire clan still hasn’t manifested. For how long can you keep your connections to your ever fleeting humanity, how you are going to keep up the Masquerade, and if you are going to be swept by the machinations of other Kindred or ride the wave of incoming change it is not certain. However one thing is certain, being small in this dark world makes you vulnerable but it also means you have the biggest potential to grow. And being part of a Coterie, a group of other young vampires, makes all of you less vulnerable. Beginner & LGBTQ+ Friendly!

About me
I'm Zelph (He/him). I played and ran TTRPG games for a while now and I'm passionate about storytelling, be it in writing, in art, or in Tabletop RPGs. My philosophy is "Be the change you want to see in the world" and as such I want to bring many of my favorite RPGs that deserve more notoriety.

Creating your character
Characters will be during session 0. Rules are the standard presented in the Vampire the Requiem 2nd Edition corebook: First create the character as a mortal then add the vampire template. For those that join mid-campaign, your characters will receive a certain amount of XP according to the amount of played sessions previous to your joining.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a working microphone (headset is fine), a free Discord account with verified email, and a web browser of your choice. You DO NOT need to buy Foundry, you will be able to access the game through the browser, preferably through a PC because Foundry isn’t mobile friendly.
What Zelph brings to the table
I will bring the VTT where the character sheets and rolls will be made, along with a map of the fictional city we will be playing in. My campaign is very character driven, with me as a Storyteller reacting to the player character’s decisions and actions. I use ambient music to set the mood of the setting and scene. I tend to go for rules as intended. My tables are LGBTQ+ and beginner friendly, as I look to make a safe place for people and I’m always excited to introduce new people to the game and the hobby.

How Zelph creates a safe table
In Session 0 I will go over how Vampire the Requiem, Discord, and Foundry works for those that are new, and I will talk about how every safety tool will be implemented, and may add more if the players desire it. Before, during or after the players may send a consent form filled with the subjects that they are ok and not ok with. Filling the consent form is optional. I will also talk about the setting in which the campaign will be occurring. During the game people will be free to leave the game or request a break at any time without judgment or needing to justify it. An X-card will be available through a Foundry module, which allows anyone to use it at any time anonymously. N and O cards can be sent in Discord's or Foundry's public chat or private messaging me. At the end we will go for a short Stars and Wishes with each player, if they so desire, to see what they enjoyed and what they would like to see more of. I keep the players informed on what their characters know or can know, sometimes without the need for a roll, in order to avoid uninformed decisions that a character in a given context should be informed about and also help new players gradually understand the game.
