About the adventure

The lighthouse is essential to the well-being of the city's sailors. But its light has been missing since winter. Now that spring has arrived, this is the soonest trip to the lighthouse that can be made. And you're on it! You are one of the Delvers being sent to the Phareflaw lighthouse to restore its shining beacon. Maybe you'll even have the chance to rescue survivors! Survivors always bring on a bit of extra rewards at the end. But first, you must make it to the lighthouse. Time Without Tide is a game of mirth and misery. The atrocities in the world aren't without their humors, and the merriment comes holding hands with despair. Set within a faux-Victorian age of fog, horror, and industrialism, your future as a Delver is yours to be molded! So, step into the lantern's light, and check your concerns in at the counter, there's adventures to be had under the shattered moon!

About me

Hello, hello! The name’s Fey, but there’s a lot more to me than just that! My love for TTRPGs started on New Year’s Eve of 2015 with my very first session played. From the first roll of the dice, I have only fallen more in love with tabletop roleplaying. Before joining StartPlaying, I ran 2-3 games a day, 6 days a week, over the course of 3 years as part-owner of my own TTRPG company – WildewitchRP. This puts me in the ballpark of about 3000 games that I’ve professionally run pre-SPG; including a repertoire of fully custom storylines, pre-written modules, one-shots, and adventure campaigns both short and long-term, either crafted or embellished in collaboration with my partner. Most of my experience lies within D&D 5e, however I am a GM of many systems! And I'm not turned away from a game if I need to learn a new system; quite the opposite, really! I love learning new systems and seeing the tales they can weave! There’s a whole world of stories for us to explore, so grab your dice and let’s start our adventure!

What Fey brings to the table

I try to balance the Rules as Written with the Rule of Cool to make for memorable moments, tension, and high stakes. At the table, I do use ambient music in the game. I also try to use voices, but I can't claim to be the best at them; it's a way to have fun! I will also make sure that players have access to any necessary materials to make sure they are prepared to play. Sessions are recorded for a VOD archive to supplement note taking.

Safety

How Fey creates a safe table

Safe play is super important to me at the tables I'm at. X cards can be messaged to me either in a DM or in the game's text channel. We have a break in the middle of the session, or if ever one needs to be called else time. I encourage open conversations about what people are enjoying (or not so much) at the table. And I will always welcome conversations from players in my DMs!
