About the adventure

Your adventure begins with a trip to the Candy Kingdom, led by Finn the Human. Years of adventuring have turned Finn into a seasoned hero, and now he travels Ooo with a new generation of adventurers, showing them the ropes and letting them discover what kind of heroes they want to become. He’s your mentor and guide, but this is your adventure. You play a group of young adventurers on your first real outing with Finn. What should be a simple tour of Princess Bubblegum’s castle quickly becomes something much stranger when an experiment creates an ever-growing population of adorable creatures. It’s up to you to investigate the problem, make your own decisions, and figure out how to save the Candy Kingdom. Expect a whimsical, weird, and occasionally heartfelt D&D adventure filled with exploration, roleplay, creative solutions, bizarre creatures, and the kind of unexpected chaos you’d expect from a day in Ooo.

About me

I’m a passionate tabletop gamer and Game Master who loves creating memorable, player-driven stories. I’ve spent a lot of time running and preparing games, focusing on crafting engaging one-shots and longer adventures that balance storytelling, roleplay, and exciting encounters. My approach to GM-ing is collaborative and flexible — I enjoy adapting to player choices and helping everyone feel like a meaningful part of the story. Tabletop games have been a big creative outlet for me. I draw inspiration from books, movies, and games to build immersive settings and scenarios, and I’m always looking for ways to improve my craft and deliver better experiences at the table. Whether I’m running a tense mystery, a cinematic action sequence, or a character-focused moment, my priority is making sure players feel welcome, involved, and excited to see what happens next.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created before the first session so we can jump straight into the adventure. Players will begin at Level 3, with stats determined using 4d6, drop the lowest. Characters can use either the 2014 or 2024 D&D 5e rules and official material. When creating your character, keep the Adventure Time setting and its unique, whimsical flavor in mind. Characters should feel like they belong in the strange and colorful world of Ooo.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

For this adventure players will need to download and familiarize themselves with discord and quest portal. I will have a invite for the discord server and the game on quest portal ready to send out to my players

What Quinn brings to the table

Expect a roleplay-focused, story-driven game with character voices, ambient music, hand-drawn maps, and a mix of exploration, investigation, creative problem-solving, and combat. I encourage players to think outside the box and embrace the Rule of Cool when it makes sense, while keeping the rules consistent and fair. Your choices matter, and I want everyone to have room to shape the story, develop their characters, and have fun along the way.

Homebrew rules

This game uses very little mechanical homebrew. Most changes are re-flavoring existing D&D rules and abilities to fit the Adventure Time setting. XP is earned through completing adventures, sparring with Finn during downtime, and, of course, through combat—but combat isn’t the only way to progress. The Rule of Cool may also occasionally allow creative uses of existing abilities when it fits the scene.

Safety

How Quinn creates a safe table

Player safety and comfort are a priority at my table. Before the first session, we will review Lines & Veils and establish boundaries for content that players are uncomfortable with. Players are always welcome to step away from the game for their own safety and well-being without judgment or needing to explain themselves. I will check in with players when appropriate and encourage open communication throughout the game. After sessions, I’ll provide an opportunity for players to share feedback or concerns so we can adjust the game as needed.
