About the adventure
WELCOME TO DUNGEONLAND: TRAGIC KINGDOM Touchstones: Horror Fantasy meets Widow’s Bay You’ll play townsfolk whose ordinary lives are getting tangled in something dark. The missing people are your neighbors, friends, and familiar faces—and nobody seems to know who’ll be next. Safehaven is a charming little island town with friendly neighbors, thriving businesses, and one hell of a tourist attraction: Dungeonland. Buy a ticket, brave the dungeon, and try to make it home in time before nightfall. Ask Old Man Widders, though, and he’ll tell you exactly what’s happening. “It’s the island. Always acts up this time of year.” Nobody pays much attention to the old man. After all, he’s been saying that for years. But the bodies keep turning up. And something tells you this is only the beginning. WHAT TO EXPECT • Horror meets dark comedy: Bizarre mysteries, unsettling encounters, ridiculous situations, and moments when the laughter abruptly stops. • An island full of secrets: Explore Safehaven, meet its eccentric residents, and discover what lurks beyond the tourist attractions. • Monster-of-the-week adventures: New threats, strange disappearances, and mysteries that might be connected to something much bigger. • A living community: Build relationships, make enemies, and watch your choices shape the town and its inhabitants. An ongoing mystery: Why does the island act up this time of year? And what does Old Man Widders know? YOUR ADVENTURE Tragic Kingdom is an episodic horror-comedy one shot series set in Safehaven, the island town surrounding the infamous Dungeonland. Each adventure brings a new mystery, a fresh horror, and another opportunity to discover just how strange this seemingly cheerful island really is. You don't need to save the world, but you might want to start by saving yourself. Welcome to the Tragic Kingdom.

About me
Hi, I’m Rob. I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for more than 17 years and have hosted over 120 games on StartPlaying. What I Run Daggerheart is my current system of choice. I also run Legend in the Mist, OSR games, Tales of the Valiant, and D&D 5e. My games cover a range of fantasy genres, including cozy fantasy, dark fantasy, nobledark, and grimdark. Most of my games take place in Taeval, my system-agnostic fantasy world. A Player’s Guide is available for anyone who wants to explore the setting before joining a game. What to Expect My games are character-driven and roleplay-forward, but they aren’t short on danger. I enjoy complicated relationships, difficult choices, dangerous fights, questionable bargains, and letting player decisions change the direction of the story. New players are welcome. I teach systems through play and provide guidance without turning the session into a lecture. I use Foundry VTT, Zoom, and Discord. My tables are inclusive and collaborative. Everyone is expected to share the spotlight, communicate openly, and treat one another with respect. Adventures by Request Private one-shots and campaigns are available for groups, duos, and individual players. All prices are per player, per session. * One-shots: $20 * Campaigns: $25 * Duos—two players: $25 for one-shots | $30 for campaigns * Duets—one player: $30 for one-shots | $35 for campaigns Custom Adventure Request Form: https://forms.gle/quHRe6qDiGqi2eQc9

Creating your character
Character creation will take place on Discord, where we’ll build your adventurer together and introduce to Safehaven. New players are always welcome, and no prior experience with Into the Odd is required. All characters begin at Level 1 and use the Daggerheart Core Rules. To make the process easier, I’ll also provide access to a dedicated VTT character creation server, where you can explore options, ask questions, and build or update your character between sessions. My goal is to make character creation approachable, collaborative, and fun so we can get you exploring the dungeon as quickly as possible.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before your first session, please: • Join our Sagaforge Discord server. • Join the Forge VTT server where we will play. • Ensure you have a working microphone and stable internet connection. • Read the Welcome to Dungeonland Campaign Frame before Session Zero.
What Rob Duke brings to the table
My goal is to create a world that feels alive—one where your decisions matter, every expedition tells a complete story, and the town above the dungeon is just as memorable as the dangers below. Here’s what you can expect from my games: • Immersive storytelling with memorable NPCs, distinct character voices, and ambient music that supports the moment without overwhelming it. • A living world where the actions of one expedition ripple throughout the campaign, shaping future adventures and the stories other players encounter. • Meaningful exploration that rewards curiosity, creative problem-solving, and paying attention to the world around you. • Challenging but fair encounters. Combat is dangerous, but success comes from teamwork, preparation, and clever thinking—not simply bigger numbers. • Rule of Cool, grounded in consistency. I love rewarding creative ideas as long as they fit the world and help tell a better story. • High-quality digital resources, including custom maps, handouts, journals, artwork, and a professionally designed Player Guide to help immerse you in the setting.

How Rob Duke creates a safe table
Creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive table is one of my highest priorities. We will utilize breaks and debriefings. Player comfort always comes before the game. If something isn’t working, we’ll pause, adjust, and make sure everyone feels safe continuing.
