About the adventure

STEP RIGHT UP! THE SHOW MUST GO ON! Welcome to Honkemonium Park, where the rides are deadly, the employees are dangerously enthusiastic, and the management has some rather unusual ideas about customer satisfaction. Meet Chookels-Chookels, self-proclaimed comedy god, head clown, and proud leader of the Honk Legion. His loyal employees have dedicated their eternal existence to spreading laughter, terror, and questionable workplace practices. Unfortunately, you've become the latest guests at his magnificent establishment. Admission is cheap. Leaving is another matter entirely. Explore a nightmarish amusement park filled with murderous clowns, ridiculous attractions, disturbing surprises, and the kind of customer service that should probably be illegal. Will you survive the festivities, turn the clowns against their beloved leader, or embrace the madness and join the Honk Legion yourself? WHAT TO EXPECT - Killer clowns, folk horror, and gloriously ridiculous dark comedy. - Deadly carnival attractions and spectacularly bad decisions. - Creative problem-solving, memorable roleplay, and tactical combat. - A world where the jokes are terrible but the consequences are real. - Opportunities to cause absolute chaos. - An unforgettable confrontation with the management. Inspired by classic horror comedies and the wonderfully deranged world of The Crooked Moon, this adventure embraces the absurd without sacrificing the danger. NO REFUNDS. NO ESCAPES. MANDATORY FUN.

About me

Hi, I’m Rob. I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for more than 17 years and have hosted over 120 games on StartPlaying. What I Run Daggerheart is my current system of choice. I also run Legend in the Mist, OSR games, Tales of the Valiant, and D&D 5e. My games cover a range of fantasy genres, including cozy fantasy, dark fantasy, nobledark, and grimdark. Most of my games take place in Taeval, my system-agnostic fantasy world. A Player’s Guide is available for anyone who wants to explore the setting before joining a game. What to Expect My games are character-driven and roleplay-forward, but they aren’t short on danger. I enjoy complicated relationships, difficult choices, dangerous fights, questionable bargains, and letting player decisions change the direction of the story. New players are welcome. I teach systems through play and provide guidance without turning the session into a lecture. I use Foundry VTT, Zoom, and Discord. My tables are inclusive and collaborative. Everyone is expected to share the spotlight, communicate openly, and treat one another with respect. Adventures by Request Private one-shots and campaigns are available for groups, duos, and individual players. All prices are per player, per session. * One-shots: $20 * Campaigns: $25 * Duos—two players: $25 for one-shots | $30 for campaigns * Duets—one player: $30 for one-shots | $35 for campaigns Custom Adventure Request Form: https://forms.gle/quHRe6qDiGqi2eQc9

Creating your character

I will have pregens available. Character creation is also available.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need a working microphone, a stable internet connection, and access to our virtual tabletop and voice chat. Joining instructions will be provided before the session. We'll be playing D&D 5e with level 6 characters. Character creation details and any additional instructions will be shared before the game. New to D&D? No problem! I'm happy to help you get ready. A sense of humor is strongly recommended.

What Rob Duke brings to the table

I'll provide the virtual tabletop, maps, adventure materials, and assistance with character creation. I encourage creative solutions and embrace the Rule of Cool while respecting the mechanics that make the game work. Combat will be exciting and tactical, but you'll discover that violence isn't always the only solution. New players are always welcome. I'll help you learn as we play without slowing down our experienced adventurers.
