About the adventure

AN INTRODUCTION Hello, my name is JW and I have a passion for old school gaming, especially 1970s era adventure modules for both D&D and AD&D. I’m proud to be offering this module from 1982, by Douglas Niles. ABOUT THE ADVENTURE The party must uncover the sinister forces destroying a once prosperous village. You must navigate a web of clues, suspicious NPCs, and cult infiltration before transitioning into wilderness travel and underground confrontation. This game is for players who enjoy a mix of roleplay with their combat. IMPORTANT STUFF Hey everyone! To keep our games exciting and well-balanced, we’ll need at least 3 players at the table. We all have real-life adult responsibilities, and it's not cool to keep people waiting until game time to find out if a session is happening. To respect your time, I'll send out a Discord RSVP at least 24 hours in advance so we know where we stand. If we don't hit the minimum, we'll make the call early and postpone. If anyone has to drop from the roster later on, we’ll just jump back into pending status for a brief moment until we find our third player again. Thanks for understanding! I hope that you’ll join me in playing this classic module with the Shadowdark RPG ruleset. ABOUT FANTASY GROUNDS v5 Fantasy Grounds 5.0 is a sleek, purpose-built RPG engine—fast, intuitive, and deeply automated. It delivers native, high-tier features that other VTTs only mimic with clunky community modules. Get your group playing instantly, minus the duct-tape workflows.

About me

Hello, my name is JW. I have a passion for old-school gaming, especially classic TSR adventure modules from the 1970s and 1980s. Using virtual tabletops, I bring these iconic, high-stakes dungeons to life for a modern audience. My games focus on authentic OSR challenge, atmosphere, and player agency, where smart strategy and survival truly matter.

Character creation

Creating your character

We’ll handle character creation together during **Session 0**. Once the campaign kicks off, we won't create characters during live play so we can maximize game time.  If new players join later, they’ll just need to sync up with me beforehand to build a character, or they can simply grab one of my ready-to-play pregens! This keeps things smooth and ensures we don't cut into anyone's hard-earned gaming time.
