About the adventure

"Lost in a realm of eternal twilight, Count Strahd von Zarovich, a vampire of unparalleled evil, holds the mist-shrouded land of Barovia in an iron grip. But he has plans to escape the valley and you have 14 days and nights to stop him before he tears a hole into the mists. His generals are loyal to him, or so it may seem, there is more to this valley than first meets they eye. Uncover dark secrets, confront monstrous foes, and challenge the vampire lord himself. Defeat the monsters of Barovia and weaken Strahd, spend your time gathering allies to face him in the final battle or simply join him. The choice is yours, but one thing is certain, you are running out of time in this Curse of Strahd Remix." What to look forward to: - Strahd's generals - 4 new factions in Barovia - A more interesting Ireena/Tatyana storyline - Time sensitive quests

About me

Dungeons and Dragons DM with a taste for horror and the macabre. I like to run haunted houses and cult related campaigns but I also do fun light hearted adventures or general hero stuff. I take great care to know my players before we start a session and I do use safety tools if need be for more intense campaigns. I look forward to playing with you!

Character creation

Creating your character

You should prepare a level 3 character of any alignment on DnDBeyond or Alchemy for review before they start the campaign. Stats will be determined by point buy and standard array methods. I will arrange an hour long character creation session before your first game where we discuss: - Your character (stats, back story and goals) - Your goals as a player - Lines, veils and basic house rules at the table - How your character is introduced in the campaign ** You're welcome to play any class or race, homebrew will need to be submitted for review before your first session. **

What to expect

Preparing for the session

At the very least you'll need an Alchemy account, Discord account and a microphone. More information will be provided in the game primer on Alchemy.

What Joannah Stewart brings to the table

I will bring battle maps, music, and a fun experience for my players. Players can expect dangerous combat encounters with less focus on rules and more focus on play. This is a description heavy setting where roleplay is encouraged and there will be a lot of opportunity for it. But there's no need to put on voices, simple descriptions will do just fine.

Safety

How Joannah Stewart creates a safe table

I send all of my players Lines and Veils sheets before hand. We will discuss them in session zero along with how to use Alchemy's x card system. I do optional aftercare after games where we can discuss what happened during session.
