About the adventure
A sinister cult has crept into the city’s bowels, and the characters must infiltrate the cult’s hideout and root out its members before harm befalls the city. The characters are contracted by Lord Protector Dagult Neverember of Neverwinter to patrol the city. When a dead man is found clutching a withered eyeball, the characters are tasked with uncovering the cause of the man’s death. This leads the characters to investigate the city’s old catacombs and confront the cultists causing havoc.

About me
I've been playing and GMing for roughly a year. Several of my friends enjoyed ttrpgs when I was growing up, but I never paid them much mind until covid lockdown began and I discovered Critical Role. After years of trying to get my current friend group to play, I finally got a group together, only for our GM to have to leave the group due to work scheduling, leaving me to take over. I have been running games almost every weekend since. I have ran games in D&D 5E(2014) and 5.5E(2024).

Creating your character
Character creation will be done on dnd beyond. Characters will be level 3. Any official 5.5(2024) content is allowed. 3rd party content will likely be allowed, but run it by me first. Having a character ready before the session would be preferable, but if you need help creating a character, I will be available shortly before we begin to help out.

Preparing for the session
Players will need a dndbeyond account(free) and Discord for communication. We will be using the Maps vtt on dndbeyond.
What Matt aka Mathias brings to the table
I have several books available for sharing on dnd beyond. In game music will be provided via Discord. I'm no voice actor, but I do my best to make every character, be they villain, hero, npc, or otherwise, feel distinct and memorable. I typically stick reasonably close to rules as written, but I can embrace Rule of Cool when circumstances call for it.
