About the adventure

In this One Shot, You will be given 5 Premade characters to choose from based on the characters in Rick and Morty. You wont have to worry about making a character, just the fun rules of rolling Math Rocks. The Lost Dungeon of Rickedness, Rick Sanchez leads you through the dungeon as your Dungeon Master trying to throw monster after monster, but dont worry, Even Jerry can be a hero in a game of Magic. We will go through the dungeon going from Level 1 to 3 and finish walking through the general mechanics of D&D as you play. Have no Fear, Rick Sanchez doesnt like to explain rules because it can be boring, so there wont be a Ted Talk on the Rules, instead we will do step by step play until everyone feels comfortable with it. I hope you enjoy the fun times in the Ricked Dungeon.

About me

Hey, I’m McClain, Disabled Army Veteran. I am a huge nerd and love to research lore. I wear a tin hat just for fun because lets face it, we all have little crazy in us. I am in my 30s and have been playing TTRPGS for several years. I started out with Warhammer 40k TTRPG, specifically Rogue Trader. Then Dark Heresy. I moved to Dungeons and Dragons 5e while I was in the Army because 40k got too expensive under Citadel. I have GMd for almost 8 years now and I have ran games ranging from Dungeons and Dragons to the Science Fiction universe of 40K to the Anime world of Pokemon with Pokemon Tabletop Adventures. I do enjoy a good game regardless of the genre. I have the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG and am looking to teach you how to play, I am also looking to run Starfinder 2e and Warhammer 40k as well once I figure out the best way to run them. So if you want a game that is based in a space setting then look no further. Shoot me a message and ask me to start it and that will get me to start it sooner. Also I will be running Neon Odyssey when it is released because that is based in Dungeons and Dragons 5e and I know that system like the back of my hand.

Character creation

Creating your character

I have premade characters for you to choose from for the One shot, starting at level 1, and when each character levels up we can walk through how to do that. This is a level 1 to 3 one shot. Each Character Sheet is on DnD Beyond but also a PDF with Recommended stuff to take upon Level up to make it easier on you.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To prepare, sign up for a free discord account, once you sign up for this game you will have access to the discord link where I host the game at. Also make a free DnDBeyond account as we will be using that to learn, using the maps and Virtual Tabletop. The best thing about DnDBeyond is you dont need a fancy computer, you can use your phone even.

What McClain brings to the table

I will provide any content for characters and step by step knowledge and information so you can learn in a safe and easy going environment. I have taught kids of all ages with Autism and other Disabilities how to play Dungeons and Dragons and I think I am a great teacher to adapt to the player based on how it appears they are understanding.

Homebrew rules

There will be no Homebrew rules.

Safety

How McClain creates a safe table

We will have a small break in the middle of the game so people can stretch and grab a drink or go to the bathroom. Staring at your computer screen for hours on end is not great for your eyes.
