About the adventure
THE ROT THAT FOLLOWS A Story-Driven Eldritch Horror Campaign in the Forgotten Realms You survive a nautiloid crash but congratulations you now have temporary amnesia making you forget how you got here and forgetting an important piece of crucial information. you have been infected with a mind flayer tadpole you and your new group has found yourself wandering into a strange and sombre coastal town named Seabrooke where the Lord has been taking people away to never be seen again, while the lady Alina Therin is supposedly a chosen of Ilmater. As you stay, you realise this place is suffering from some sort of sickness that not even holy magic can cure and you are forced to watch as some kind of body horror transformation starts to take place as they become more hostile and complain about the calling to their home which is the "sea" while you explore this strange town you are all the more aware you cant trust your senses as you begin to hear and see things that may or may not be there, the Therins aren't what they seem and something that can be described as an eldritch horror is residing in the sea. if you like a campaign that is narrative driven that explores characters actions into long lasting consequences good or bad, and exploring the use of the insanity table then you may like the rot this campaign is inspired by the call of Cthulhu module as well as other sources

About me
I'm twenty-three years old and have been playing and being a DM for less than a year. D&D has become my focus, as it gave me a meaning that nothing else has. D&D is more than just roleplaying; it gives you confidence, inspires you, and builds connections and skills to work as a team. I find that completely beautiful, which is why I want to run campaigns to see all types of characters and watch as you become a completely different person. Horror is a major focus point for the majority of campaigns, as I find that when thrown into something horrific, a lot of my players surprise me by seeing the good in the NPC, bringing hope or (mayhem), as it shows that while a campaign might be horror and dark, it doesn't have to be bleak and hopeless. I love getting to know my players, not only because it's important as a DM, but I believe it helps build trust so they feel like they are able to come to me with any issues, as sometimes I'm finding out that when you're a DM, sometimes they don't want to bother you with a problem, and I always say no problem is a silly problem if it's bothering you, and I love to have a chat, even if it's not about the campaign. I think in my heart I'm an entertainer and make sure everyone has a good time.

Creating your character
characters start at level 2, i need a character sheet before the session you are in, homebrew content is allowed as long as i approve first and please use either dnd beyond or roll20 for pc sheets
What to expect
Preparing for the session
i have a discord server to join, and will send a link to one world of mulitiverse after they are sure they want to stay in the campaign, will eventually move it to roll20
What Amy brings to the table
i am teaching myself how to voice act, i value rule of cool and tend to focus on adjusting the campaign on everyone enjoyment instead of just sticking to what i prepared for beforehand
Homebrew rules
drinking potions is a bonus actions, i have a homebrew rule called the last stand where you can choose not to do any death saving throws and instead chooose to get an automatic critical success of your choosing then die with a speech, and in combat enemies have unlimited HP and go as long as you guys are enjoying the combat
