About the adventure
Want to learn how to play D&D? I wrote this easy one-shot to introduce players to the game with a classic but fun theme: fighting a dragon! As adventurers, you hear word of a white dragon wreaking havoc across the land. Its latest sighting was near a town called Vorek up in the mountains. King Gungrin recently put out a bounty to kill or repel the beast and you have answered the call. Find the easiest way to the peak, beat the others who want to get there first, and finally, find a way to deal with the angry dragon!

About me
Hello! My name is Addin Vang. I've loved tabletop games since I was a teenager. During the pandemic, I had a wonderful opportunity to DM an online game that lasted over a year. For another two years after that, I played in games as a player and DM for games that included adults and teenagers. I am very passionate about helping youth and young people experience joy and fun through self-expression and fulfillment.

Creating your character
When you join this game, I will send you an invite to the campaign on D&D Beyond. When creating your character on D&D Beyond, please check 5.5e Core Rules in Sources. Afterward, go to Abilities and choose Standard Array for your stats. Characters will all be level 1. Please create the character before the one shot or you can choose a pre-made character in my campaign on D&D Beyond. I am available if you need help with creating your character!

What Addin brings to the table
I provide a relaxed yet engaging space full of fun and silliness. This is a game meant for beginners so there will be lots of grace to practice. I love creating an immersive world which would include detailed maps, descriptive world-building, diverse character voices, ambient music, tactical and creative combat situations, and more! I prefer using the Rule of Cool for most situations because it promotes player creativity and fun!

How Addin creates a safe table
Safety is incredibly important for my games. I always allow time after my games to debrief and do aftercare, allowing my players to process the session. X, N, and O cards are also a useful way for player to communicate if they're uncomfortable with the content of the game. X is used when the content right now is uncomfortable, N is used when it is leading to a boundary being crossed, and O is used to check in on the current content. We will have at least one break per game. I will incorporate the Open Door policy meaning a player can take a break anytime without any judgment.
