About the adventure
Something is very, very wrong in Faerun. Anyone who has ever been resurrected from the dead is having the life slowly sucked away from them, rapidly aging and growing more and more frail. Whether out of morality, desire for power or riches, or simple curiosity, you have agreed to be part of an expedition to find out what is going on. You board a ship heading south from Baldur's Gate, towards the untamed wilderness of Chult. Can you shed light on this mystery, or will the jungle consume you like it has so many before? This will be a DnD 5.5 Edition adventure set in the deep jungles of Chult, a continent to the far south of Faerun. It will involve a healthy mix of combat and roleplay, as well as classic hex-crawling and survival.
Meet the Game Master
About me
Heya! My name is Brandon, though everyone online calls me Dok. I'm a veteran of TTRPGs, both running and playing for about 15 years now. I got my start with some old 1st edition D&D books my father gave me when I was 12. Nowadays, I run all sorts of stuff on a regular basis, ranging from staples like D&D 5E to Call of Cthulhu to more obscure systems like All Flesh Must be Eaten. I fancy myself as quite personable, and I'm always LGBTQ+ friendly. My preferred method for communications is Discord, and I normally use Foundry as a VTT. Thanks for giving me a look!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will be handled during session 0. We'll be using the point-buy method for generating stats; all official material will be allowed. We'll be starting at level 1. Homebrew material may also be allowed, given the GM's approval.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord for communication, and Foundry VTT as a tabletop. other than this, you will not need any additional programs or software, just a decent-quality microphone!
What Dok brings to the table
I make heavy use of ambient music and background sounds, and I am attempting to get better at character voices! I tend to stick to rule of cool over a strict interpretation and RAW. I generally favor roleplay over combat when it comes down to it, but I like to include a healthy mix of both when possible! All books necessary will be provided, as will access to the VTT.

How Dok creates a safe table
I utilize the Lines and Veils system (decided during session 0) to determine what should be glossed over or outright avoided, along with an open door policy and X cards in the case that something should come up which makes a player uncomfortable. While prejudice and bigotry may show up in-character, I have a zero-tolerance policy for sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. amongst players at the table.
