About the adventure
The City of Havenport looks like a success story. The Havenport Community Trust funds the schools, the hospitals, the parks, and the art museums. "For the Common Good", the Trust espouses. But behind the philanthropy is a maze of subsidiaries and shell companies that owns the city's debt, its housing, its healthcare, its media, its labor, and its future. You are Power Rangers: ordinary people, turned thieves, who decided they would rather steal back tomorrow than keep paying for it. This game is for fans of Power Rangers and TTRPG players who want heist planning, punk rebellion without easy answers, and a found family built out of people the system already wrote off. We will be using "It's Morphin' Time!", a Homebrew system that I've been working on for about a year now. If you're interested but are feeling wary until you read the system, please feel free to reach out to me on discord @robinpls. I'm more than happy to shoot you a copy of the playtest document before you make the decision to play.

About me
I may not have as much experience GM'ing as some people in the community, but I've never been the type to dip my toes in the water. I dove straight into the deep end. In my day job, I'm a screenwriter. I love thinking about character arcs and emotional beats, and I bring that to every session I run. Give me your orphaned rogue or your disgraced knight, and I'll weave them into the plot like they were always meant to be there. I'm a Black, queer, USAF veteran who believes that the best TTRPG tables are the ones where everyone feels seen, safe, and excited to show up. I don't do grimdark misery tours or accept "it's what my character would do" excuses for bad behavior. I do fun, interesting settings designed to give my players a challenge and a memorable journey for their characters. New player friendly! Open to homebrew as long as you run it by me first! Let's get together and tell a story!

Creating your character
Because this is a playtest for a homebrew system, feel free to make a character on your own or with me, to answer any questions you may have!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You should have a Discord account! We will be using Foundry VTT for battlemaps and combat (to the best of our ability).
What Kevin brings to the table
I will provide ambient music when appropriate! I'm also working on my voices, but they're not great right now! I do my best to make every character's speech patterns different, though~ I'm looking to provide tactical combat that encourages teamwork, both in and out of game.

How Kevin creates a safe table
Our first session will be a Session Zero so we can clarify player/GM expectations. I'll send out a Lines and Veils document prior to Session Zero. When we are utilizing Foundry, we will have X, N, & O cards in the client. When we are not using Foundry, these cards can be messaged to me. Players are heavily encouraged to fill out the campaign Stars & Wishes form after every session.
