About the adventure

Prepare for a zany, pirate-laden cinematic adventure! Pirate Borg may differ from other RPGs you have played. Here are some key guidelines: PCs are not heroes! The setting is the main character, and the story comes from how you—the players—interact with it. There is a good chance your PC will die. Don’t worry: just roll up a new one and jump back in ;-) There are no social abilities like “charisma”, “persuasion”, or "deception". How you roleplay and describe your interaction in social settings is more important than dice rolls. There are no “skills.” And there are only five abilities. Your options are defined by your inventory, and more importantly, your imagination. There are no “attacks of opportunity” or flanking rules. Swing from the rigging! Jump from the balcony! Flee like a coward! Don’t be afraid to get creative with your actions. If it’s something hard, I will ask for a dice roll. If it’s impossible, you'll find out!
