About me

It all started back in 2016 while I was in High School, where a friend of mine told me about Dungeons and Dragons, which honestly never really understood the apeal of... I mean, it's just acting, and I thought it would have been weird and cringe, but oh how wrong I was. After watching many videos and online sessions from many different creators, I decided to try playing DnD myself, and I had to do it online due to my country, and specifically my area not being very keen on "nerdy" stuff. So I got online and started finding games through many different platforms and servers, and very quickly and rapidly, I LOVED DnD!! The rules became a 2nd nature to me, to understand the game, but most lovable aspect of it is the Roleplay and drama! I would get so invested in such stories that at times, watching allies and player characters die in game, felt like losing actual friends and was so touching. I have so many inspirations to pull from, and so many games I wish to hold, and this could be my big chance! I have played countless games, and held many games myself as DM for 9+ years now, majority of them are online, and some in person, but my love for the game only went up! For the majority, we played 5th Edition of DnD, but I do dable in other systems like Pathfinder2. My fun as the Dungeon Master comes from my Players having fun, so I love making sure that the game I hold is catered to my players wishes. Whether they want a Roleplay focus game or combat focus, I got it all!

Character creation

Creating your character

You will create your character before the campaign begins, and if you need more information, I plan to hold a Session 0 to discuss boundaries, safety tools and any other topics. The stats of the character are decided like this: - You will roll 4d6 (keep the 3 highest) 6 times for each stat for your character. You will roll like this twice and have two sets of stats you allocate to your character. - If you are unhappy with your 2 sets, you get a choice. Either select to play with a Standard Array, or get to roll the 3rd time, but whatever your stats are on the 3rd set, you have to keep them. I do not mind multiclassing as long as you have a good enough reason for it. We will be making characters on the FoundryVTT server that I am self hosting, and you can use the official books for features, but if there is any homebrew you are interested in, I have to overlook it first.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I hold my games on Discord, and play ambience music there. I personally want to use my camera for better visualisation but it's not necessary for the campaign. You don't need an account for FoundryVTT, because I will be making them for you in my server. Other then that, you should probably prepare some snacks and drinks!

What Depressu / Vuk brings to the table

I plan to voice each and every NPC with a different enough voice, as well as dramatically describe any moments or environment in the game. I run combat as how the NPCs would act, so if you fight a bunch of wookies, it's likely gonna be chaotic, but if you fight expereinced warriors, they might pull off some sneaky tacitcs. There will be a bot/stream during the game for ambience music, but you can feel free to mute it if you want to use your own, but I do try to fit every scenario we have. When it comes to rules, I tend to stick to them 8/10 times, but I tend to favor the players more often because I want to tell a story as well as have my players enjoy the game!

Homebrew rules

I have a few homebrew rules which all will be listed in the discord server but ill write a few examples here: -Brutal Critical: When you roll a critical hit on an attack, instead of for rolling extra damage, the attack will deal maximum damage possible plus the damage it would normally deal. -"Friends everywhere" points: Throughout the entire campaign, everyone now gains 3+Charisma modifier halved (rounded up) friend points. Whenever a character meets an NPC or hears about an NPC, the player can use one of these points to know the said NPC in some way, usually as an aquaintance, or someone you met once. -In the nick of Time: If you are subjected to the same saving throw as another creature within 10 feet of you, you can choose to expend your reaction to move up to that creature and shove it 10 feet, potentially saving it from the effect. If you perform this reaction, you automatically fail the saving throw. -Every advantage you can get: If a creature has multiple sources of advantage on a roll, for every instance of advantage that it has over it's first advantage, it gets a +2 bonus on that roll. Same rule goes for disadvantage but into negatives.

How Depressu / Vuk creates a safe table

I intend to run a session 0 and discuss about anything that the players are comfortable with, and we will run a list of do's and dont's. If something does happen during session, you may speak up, and we can take a break or you can use the: X,N and O card rule. I belive that communication is always the key, so please let me know if anything is too much for you. You can message any X,N,O either privately to me or in the chat. After the game, I will be more then happy to check up with you, and make sure that everything is okay, and that you are alright to keep going. Best to be safe than sorry!
