About the adventure
You hunt monsters for a living. What the world doesn't know is that you're part of what you hunt. You're sworn to an ancient order that protects the people of Andaluria — sun-drenched vineyards, old festivals, wine celebrated across the land, and a people known for their warmth. But something's wrong under all that beauty: the nights have grown longer than they should, and the old ways of keeping the dark at bay are failing. The monsters are coming out of the darkness. And you're one of them. If the world ever finds out what you really are, it won't matter how many people you've saved. They'll only see the monster. But out on the hunts, it's rarely that simple — some of what you track deserves what's coming. Some doesn't. And some of the worst things you'll find wear an entirely human face. The step from hunter to hunted is incredibly small. Not all monsters are evil. Not all evil comes from monsters. This campaign unfolds as a series of connected hunts, with a bigger mystery unraveling underneath — pull one thread far enough, and you'll find it's tied to something much older and closer to home than you expected. Where that thread leads, who you protect, and what you're willing to become along the way is yours to decide — there's no script here, just consequences. Join the hunt. Become a monster yourself.

About me
Step into Khitan’s Crossing. I’m GM Khitan, and at my table, every decision matters and every character leaves a mark on the world. Here, your choices shape the story, your relationships evolve naturally, and the narrative responds to the paths you take. Adventures unfold in rich, immersive worlds, full of meaningful dilemmas, unexpected turns, and moments that stay with you long after the session ends. Every session is a chance to explore, to test your character, and to dive into stories that are as dynamic and alive as the players at the table. I focus on crafting experiences where your creativity drives the journey, your roleplay shapes the narrative, and your character’s growth is central. Take a seat at the Crossing — your story begins now, and the path is yours to shape.

Creating your character
Characters will be first level. Core rules, Hope & Fear, and Void content are all allowed. During session 0 we will spend some time creating bonds together, tying the characters to each other and to the adventure itself. The twist is: everyone will start with a transformation card of their choice! You are playing monsters hunting monsters, and transformation cards are the best way to represent it mechanically.
The adventure will not start before Sunday 11th of October
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To play in this game, you'll need: - A stable internet connection - A Discord account, for voice chat and our group server - A free Sqyre account — this is what I'll use to host the game on Foundry VTT (quick to set up, I'll send the link once you join) - A decent microphone - A relatively quiet environment to play in Cameras are welcome, but not required.
What GM Khitan brings to the table
Everything's ready to go — you just need to show up. I'll bring the rules and a Foundry setup built specifically for Andaluria: maps, tokens, ambient music, and sound design for each town and hunting ground, so the atmosphere carries through even over a screen. Every hunt is its own folklore-soaked story — cursed vineyards, old family crypts, village superstitions that turn out to be true — set against a world that holds together from one session to the next. The choices you make and the threads you pull shape where the campaign goes; this is a collaborative table, and I run it that way. It's also a table built to be genuinely welcoming — no gatekeeping, no drama, just people who want to tell a good story together.
Homebrew rules
No homebrew for this campaign. We'll be using core Daggerheart rules as written, plus material from The Void — Darrington Press's official playtest hub — for anyone who wants to build with it.

Safety
How GM Khitan creates a safe table
This is a horror-tinged fantasy campaign, and it doesn't shy away from that — expect curses, gore, and body horror along the way, alongside the weight of living a double life your character can never fully set down. Before we start, we'll run a Session 0 to set Lines and Veils together, so everyone at the table has a say in what's on the table and what isn't. During play, I check in if a scene starts running hot, and anyone can flag a pause at any time — no explanation needed. Your comfort always comes first. Fear is the goal of the fiction, never of the table itself.
