About the adventure
This campaign is meant to be both an intro to Pathfinder 2E, as well as a full length campaign, that aims to achieve all pillars of a good TTRPG, Combat, Exploration, Roleplay and Decision Making. Trouble in Otari is the Pathfinder 2E starter set, and it takes place in Otari, the name of a small seaside village within the setting of Golarion. More importantly however, is that it's very close to the location of the module "Abomination Vaults" allowing you to first learn the system through the starter set, before delving into a much longer, grittier and difficult mega dungeon. Otari has always been influenced to the presence of the nearby landlocked lighthouse, and now that the lights have been spotted being turned on yet again, the citizens fear what's to come. In this adventure, your characters might be here simply by chance of you might even be locals, but after becoming acquainted with the rather charming town of Otari, you will begin seeing the impact of this lighthouse on the city. Nightmares causing sleepless nights to the citizens, undead creatures in the cemetary and aberrations emerging out of the swamps are only a few of the threats that await Otari, but hopefully with your help, these can be quelled. As a DM, I'm very invested in decision making and roleplay, as such I intend on making sure that Otari feels like home, so you feel like you have a reason to keep fighting. While the abomination vaults is at the end of the day a megadungeon, I aim for the campaign to feel much deeper than just a moment to moment mass combat encounter, as I believe it has the potential to achieve it.

About me
Me Hey there! I’m Pedro, but online I go by TompsonX. I used to run The Adventurer’s Guild, a D&D 5e community server with over 5,000 sessions played, and I’ve been a professional DM for over 8 years. I currently run two active campaigns, but I’m almost always looking for players in the GMT 18:30–23:00 time slot. My games focus on roleplay and meaningful combat, usually running about 3 hours per session. I like to offer a free trial session so you can see if our styles click before committing. If your schedule doesn’t match my regular campaigns, I’m also available for private or custom sessions—these are a bit more expensive, but perfect if you want to play at a different time. My goal is simple: to make each game fun, challenging, and memorable, while letting your characters shine and shape the story along the way.

Creating your character
We'll be using Free Archetypes, Gradual Ability Boosts and Ancestry Paragon We'll be having an in depth session 0 before the campaign fully begins. You can create your characters during session 0 or before, but all of it needs to be vetoed either way, as Pathfinder 2E includes a number of uncommon and rare options that are not always fitting to pick.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A working microphone with little background noise. A Discord account We'll be using Foundry VTT's Abomination Vault's and Trouble in Otari's module, as such most of the extra things are already added into the game, from handouts, to magical items and even specific sounds.
What TompsonX brings to the table
I will be providing the full foundry access to a server with all that you would be required. There will be ambient music and character voices. We will be almost fully following Rules as Written, specially in combat, while leaving most rule of cool type abilities to outside of combat. I tend to have a generally character driven pace, where you all are the ones who set the pace on how the group moves throughout. I tend to roleplay quite a bit, but I am also very welcome to some level of metagaming and sharing of information, as I believe that makes games run smoother. I enjoy having a serious campaign in character, but out of character I am very open to above table discussion and commentary, as long as everyone knows when to reign it in.

How TompsonX creates a safe table
We'll be having a very extensive Session 0, to make sure we mesh well with each other and to go through things such as content warnings, character creation, party composition and expectations. In Foundry I will be seeing up the X,N& O cards, but during session 0 we'll also be filling the Deck of Player Safety through Demiplane
