About the adventure

Welcome to Godbone! A grimdark sci-fi universe where the old gods have died and the stars are dying slowly with them. You the players, alongside thousands of other Feargaren Empire citizens have been chosen to venture into the dying cosmos to locate and retrieve the bones of these dead gods. Which the priests believe will save the universe from a slow, cold death. Whether that is true or not doesn't matter to you as you have no choice and it was either this or be executed for treason. The campaign will take place over many sessions and you will likely die many times, as space is a terrible place; but there is a slim hope in the dark. The empire has granted those who succeed in finding artifacts of the gods, with second life vats. A marvel of science and magic created by the priests that allows the resurrection of those the Empire deems of value. So if you are good enough in your journeys, you may get to keep certain characters that die. Because after all this is mothership, and you probably not gonna make it far.

About me

I am a experienced GM who is looking to expand a bit and meet some more player while also paying some of my bills. I play fun games with some homebrew rules and love helping players learn and have as much fun as they can. I also enjoy telling engaging stories that are fun while also being serious and handling real subjects. Also am willing to handle as much homebrew as needed.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a session 0, where we create our characters and go over the system and the campaign!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You should make sure you have a Roll20 account, a Watchtogether account, and a account for the Mothership companion app on either your browser or your phone, but preferably browser!

What Caleb brings to the table

I will be utilizing battle maps or custom created maps and drawings, alongside ambient music and character voices as I love to get into the more cinematic aspects of TTRPG's. I also prefer the rule of cool over RAW, but not to a annoying to the other players degree.

Homebrew rules

We will be using some rule changes in order for this system to be ran in a long term campaign style such as. * First wound cant kill. * Armor doesn't break immediately, when damage is taken over max ap, then max ap goes down by 1, when max ap reaches 0 the armor breaks.

Safety

How Caleb creates a safe table

We will go over all of the main details during our session 0 and I always like to make sure my players are okay during the game. If you have any issues with other players or myself or the game, please feel free to come see me after the game or during a break.
