About the adventure
The players are the crew of the March Harrier, a subsidized merchant starship in the Aramis subsector of the Spinward Marches, struggling to keep their starship running, when they get caught up in the machinations of megacorporations and regional politics. Your characters are experienced professionals with careers before they start play (this is a big part of character generation). They have to deal with hostile environments (both physical and societal), financial & legal pressures, and the consequences of their actions. While violence can be a way to solve problems, talking, planning, engineering, or even running away are often better choices. Traveller is set in the far future (although the technology of individual worlds varies from highly advanced to completely primitive), where characters journey through star systems, engaging in exploration, commerce, ground and space battles.

About me
I have been playing TTRPGs since 1983, and running them almost as long. I have a lot of experience running campaigns, one-shots and convention games, in many systems, including but by no means limited to RuneQuest, Ars Magica, Traveller, D&D, Cyberpunk, In A Wicked Age, Primetime Adventures, and World of Darkness. I like games with immersive worlds that feel believable - albeit unlike the one we live in. I aim to give players agency to explore the world in their own way, with consequences that are interesting and fun. I like to provide a path that players can follow, but always with room to head off in different directions and explore the sandbox. The gaming table should always be a happy fun place for the players, although not necessarily for the characters. I do my utmost to ensure that it's inclusive and a safe space for everyone.

Creating your character
Characters will be created in the first session using the Mongoose 2e Lifepath system. Doing it as a group will help ensure that the PCs have the skills to control the ship between them. I will just be using the core rulebook. If you have material from other supplements that you really, really want to use, we can discuss that.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a desktop or laptop computer with a stable internet connection and a working microphone. Voice chat and the majority of text messages will be done through a Discord server, I will provide the invitation link to the server when you join the game. Gameplay is on my Foundry server (you access it from a browser). I will provide you with a URL and login info when you join the game. Knowledge of the rules and setting is nice but not necessary.
What Axel Johnston brings to the table
I will provide an exciting adventure, with fleshed out NPCs, in an interesting, well developed galaxy. I interpret the rules for Maximum Game Fun, and am always willing to let players take the game in interesting and new directions.

How Axel Johnston creates a safe table
I use digital X Card in Foundry VTT. We will check in for any triggers or content issues before we start. The game should not have any content that you would not expect from a group of adventurers going into an undead infested swamp.
