About the adventure

The Guild has accepted your credentials. Your weapons have been registered, your first dues have been collected, and the bounty board is open. You are one of eight independent bounty hunters working through a frontier chapter of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild. You are not a traditional adventuring party. Each hunter maintains an individual career, selecting contracts according to personal loyalties, skills, and ambitions. Some bounties can be pursued alone. Others encourage small teams, uneasy partnerships, or open competition between hunters seeking the same prize. Every contract is a new adventure. Track fugitives through crowded city-worlds, infiltrate criminal syndicates, hunt dangerous creatures across forgotten planets, recover stolen technology, and uncover why supposedly ordinary targets have attracted extraordinarily powerful enemies. Clients will lie. Rivals will interfere. Your quarry may deserve freedom more than your employer deserves obedience. This is an asynchronous Star Wars 5e play-by-post campaign set in an original 150+ ABY Legends-inspired continuity. Roleplay, investigation, tactical action, Guild politics, and character-driven stories will unfold through Discord, with Roll20 used for character sheets, maps, and major encounters. Rivalry and consensual nonlethal PvP are possible, but the campaign emphasizes memorable competition and reluctant cooperation—not eliminating another player’s character.

About me

Your character should change the world—and the world should remember. I’m Colwyn, a professional Game Master with more than two decades of experience creating immersive adventures across fantasy, horror, science fiction, and superhero settings. My tables are built around living worlds, memorable characters, meaningful decisions, and consequences that make your victories feel earned. You might uncover a conspiracy beneath an ancient kingdom, confront something impossible among the stars, investigate a horror that should have remained forgotten, or discover what being a hero truly costs. I specialize in Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 and 5e (2014), Dolmenwood, Starfinder 1e and 2e, Mutants & Masterminds 3e, and Call of Cthulhu 7e. I enjoy welcoming new players, challenging experienced ones, and helping every character become an important part of the story. I prepare deeply but remain flexible. Your decisions can redirect the campaign, unexpected ideas are encouraged, and I am comfortable improvising when the party leaves the anticipated path. I believe the best stories are created together rather than handed down by the GM. I am also a disabled GM living with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. Imagination has always been one of my greatest tools, and accessibility, communication, patience, and respect are important parts of the experience I provide. Come to the table ready to explore, discover, survive—and leave your mark upon the world.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters begin at level 3 and advance through story and contract milestones. All species, classes, archetypes, backgrounds, and Force-using options published on SW5e.com are welcome. Multiclassing is permitted. Characters may be heroic, mercenary, morally complicated, or openly ruthless, but they must be capable of functioning within the Guild and participating without deliberately destroying another player’s experience. Use either the standard ability-score array or SW5e point buy. Characters begin with normal class and background equipment. Additional credits, specialized Guild equipment, and access to a personal or shared starship will be established during onboarding. Every hunter should answer: • Why did the Guild accept you? • What makes clients believe you can finish a contract? • What line will you refuse to cross? • What past hunt established—or damaged—your reputation? • Why do you remain with the Guild instead of working independently? Force-sensitive bounty hunters are welcome. Their history, training, and relationship with the era’s Force traditions should be explained in their background. New players are welcome. I will help with SW5e character creation, advancement, equipment, and setting integration.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need free Discord and Roll20 accounts and access to SW5e.com. All narrative play, contract selection, investigation, downtime, and most dice rolls will take place through the campaign’s Discord server. Roll20 will support character sheets, maps, tokens, and larger tactical encounters. Players should be prepared to make at least one substantive in-character or action-resolving post every 48 hours. Brief check-ins are welcome when real life delays a response. No one is expected to remain online at particular hours, and separate bounty threads allow different hunters and teams to progress without waiting for the entire group. Before entering play, each player will complete a short character pitch, establish their hunter’s Guild reputation, review the campaign’s PvP and safety expectations, and receive an introductory contract.

What Colwyn the Conqueror brings to the table

I provide a dedicated and organized Discord campaign space, an evolving bounty board, individual and small-team adventures, recurring Guild NPCs, original contracts, maps and visual aids, Roll20 support, character-development scenes, and direct assistance with the Star Wars 5e rules. Each hunter will receive opportunities for individual spotlight, personal rivals, reputation changes, recurring targets, specialized equipment, and storylines connected to their background. Player decisions—including accepting, abandoning, renegotiating, or betraying a contract—will shape future bounties and the changing political landscape of the campaign.

Homebrew rules

This campaign uses milestone advancement and a Guild Reputation system. Completed contracts, client satisfaction, adherence to Guild law, public notoriety, and relationships with criminal or political factions can unlock restricted bounties, equipment, contacts, and privileges. Player-versus-player conflict is permitted only when everyone directly involved consents. Rivalry, deception, bounty theft, sabotage, and nonlethal combat can be part of the story. Lethal PvP is not permitted without explicit agreement from every affected player and the GM. A defeated player character cannot permanently lose signature equipment, a personal ship, substantial credits, a captured bounty, or control of their character without that player’s consent. PvP should create complications and future stories—not remove someone from the campaign.

Safety

How Colwyn the Conqueror creates a safe table

We will use Lines and Veils, Open Door, and regular check-ins. Safety tools may be used privately at any time, including during player-versus-player scenes. This campaign may include organized crime, political oppression, imprisonment, kidnapping, betrayal, dangerous creatures, weapons, injury, and death. Player boundaries will be established before play. Sexual violence, real-world bigotry directed at players, and nonconsensual romantic or sexual roleplay are not permitted. Competition between characters never excuses hostility between players. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, and scenes can be paused, revised, faded to black, or redirected without requiring a public explanation.
