About the adventure
The Drowned City is a dark, atmospheric tabletop roleplaying game campaign inspired by gothic fantasy, supernatural intrigue, stealth, assassination, and industrial-age technology. Designed for the Cypher System, the campaign places players in the decaying city of Veyra, a sprawling metropolis of canals, towering mansions, crowded tenements, smoke-filled factories, secret societies, and ancient supernatural forces. Veyra was once a prosperous city built upon the discovery of a mysterious black substance known as Black Oil. The substance transformed the city's technology, powering machinery, weapons, lighting, and mechanical inventions. Now Veyra is dying. A mysterious illness called the Pale Fever is spreading through the population. Those infected do not simply become sick, they begin losing their memories, eventually forgetting their loved ones, their identities, and even their own names. Players take the roles of assassins, thieves, investigators, nobles, occultists, spies, and other characters caught in the struggle for Veyra's future. They may infiltrate heavily guarded mansions, investigate murders, explore plague-ridden districts, steal forbidden artifacts, manipulate political factions, uncover conspiracies, and confront supernatural horrors. The campaign places a strong emphasis on player choice and consequence. Missions rarely have a single correct solution. A target might be assassinated, blackmailed, exposed, imprisoned, manipulated, or secretly eliminated. Players can rely on stealth and cunning, social deception, investigation, technology, conventional weapons, or supernatural powers. Failure does not always mean combat; being discovered may instead increase the city's level of alert, forcing the players to adapt their plans.

About me
Im an ex-army engineer and current helicopter pilot. I love the thought processes and tactics that go into combat-based RPGs as well as the opportunities for players to explore their storytelling and world building abilities with roleplaying-based RPGs. I like playing games that have a healthy mix of both and can blend both elements into a session easily. My favorite storytelling genres are Cyberpunk and Sci-Fi. I do play grim-dark fantasy, but to run them, I prefer a futuristic setting. I currently play and run Lancer, Salvage Union and The Witcher TTRPG. I want to play/run The Walking Dead, Cain, Starfinder, Cyberpunk Red and Shadowrun.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Feel free to read up on the system or character creation. No prior preparation is needed, however.
What Endrega brings to the table
I will bring an immersive and open atmosphere for all players. Allowing anyone new to the game to take their time and become comfortable with the system.
Homebrew rules
Some spells and abilities can be renamed to fit within thr Dishonored aesthetic. The campaign also uses a Chaos system that tracks the consequences of the players' actions. Excessive violence, political assassinations, civilian deaths, and destructive choices can push Veyra towards collapse, while compassionate actions, non-lethal solutions, and exposing corruption can help stabilise the city. The world reacts to what the players do, meaning that the city they encounter in the later stages of the campaign may be dramatically different from the one they entered.

How Endrega creates a safe table
In the session 0, I will be going over expectations from myself and covering expectations from the players. I will outline how to make characters, descriptions of the world/setting and cover any issues that players may not want to be covered.
