About the adventure
📖 A last minute job - short on coin with a debt to be paid. Money can be made on the road quite easy, and when a frantic Dwarf makes claims of making his fortune in the mountains to the south, you take that opportunity. The road south should be safe enough - take the Arken-Train down to the crossroads, and continue on foot to the mining town. 📚With a heavy wild-west spin on the classic D&D adventure - the Lost Mines of Phandelver. Our story will begin as many do, low on coin with prospects of making it big. This campaign will move in directions based on the Heroes backstories, using the starting adventure for the first few levels of the story for our heroes to get their footing in the world, followed by a custom and homebrewed story catered to the ties that our player have in the world. 📙Using an altered Forgotten Realms/Sword Coast setting to better fit the fantastic character options of Daggerheart, a backstory with ties and weight in the world is a must for this character driven game. Weaving your origins with the other players to create a compelling story to bring our heroes from their Call to Adventure, all the way to their rise of becoming a fabled Hero of the land. 🎲 With the newly released Hope & Fear Daggerheart rules inside of the Foundry VTT, a full accompanied soundscape with scenes and portraits for the story ahead.

About me
Living in a small ski town in the Canadian Rockies, I began running games like most people - with small groups of inconsistent friends and constant cancelations. Throughout the years of playing various TTRPG's I found myself obsessed with telling stories of High Fantasy, Horror and Mystery. Two years ago, my town was devastated by a wildfire, burning over half of the town to the ground. Being displaced for months, loosing employment, and eventually moving back to my destroyed town, I started hosting games on StartPlaying as a source of income. Over the last two years, having run numerous long term campaigns, I've moved into being a (nearly) full time DM.

Creating your character
👥Creating our heroes during the free session zero, we'll come up with them as a group, starting everyone off on the same page regarding the adventures to come.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
💬Having a Discord account for voice 💻Something with a web browser to open the Foundry page - Mobile devices unfortunately run poorly 🌟A friendly team focused attitude, a strong character concept, and passion for the hobby. 🚫Lone wolfs, Murder Hobos, Downer Debbies, Rule Lawyers, Homophobes, anything non-consensual (PVP included)
What Crusty brings to the table
🤖Playing on Foundry VTT & over Discord. I'll be bringing a full integrated soundtrack for background music, tokens, maps and handouts. 🎨NPC voices make everything fun. Descriptive combats that are fast moving. Detailed narration to keep you intrigued, and proper player spotlighting to make sure everyone is a main character. 🌟With deep character background connections I'll bring your character to life with motives, hooks, and connections drawing you into the story on a personal level, altering the module as I see fit to better align with the parties playstyle and expectations. 📚 Rules all provided in the VTT, privately hosted. No other accounts needed.

How Crusty creates a safe table
With plenty of space made during our session zero, player comfortability is a high priority, with an open door policy, I encourage all players to send me any possible concerns before the game of topics to avoid, I can be quite descriptive with combat, and I also hope no one hesitates to send me a message during game if there is any subject matter to avoid.
