About the adventure

Eredos was once a land of plenty and bounty, described in myths as the only land amongst many to have been blessed by the Arbiters. The continent was split between various factions, parts of it left at the behest of the Wilderborne that roamed its unclaimed grounds. But, nearly a thousand years later since its establishment, a bubbling period of activity has begun. Trade routes have begun to be intercepted, envoys and embassies equally targeted. Some kingdoms fell as empires rose. A period of unrest began amongst the land's peoples. As it rose and tensions materialized into conflict, factions spread throughout the lands, garnering support for their respective causes. Days of peace had gone by, and a terrifying facet of the people of Eredos had surfaced. In the midst of this, religious institutions sang praises as they sought the Arbiters' guidance, and indeed the Arbiters guided. A Divine Law was spoken through the sonorous voice of a prophet, as a terrifying rift emerged in the sky. "Eredos has become filthy. The Collective has spoken, and Eredos shall answer." As the prophet's final breath escaped them, the newly-formed rift began to enact terrible divine judgment throughout the lands. Terrible individuals gained newly-found power, as heroes of all kinds began to appear. The sky, now torn in half by a rift, contained twelve star-like bodies within it, dubbed by the Eredosians as the Asterism of Law. Those born after began to exhibit traits specific to the various stars of the Asterism. And soon enough, newly-formed factions rose up with incredible individuals who each navigated the era anew. As a few hundred years passed, the continent was repeatedly transformed and reshaped by these iconoclasts of the Asterism of Law. Twelve regions rose, each guided by a different star. Legends and myths once more given life, as a new wind blows throughout Eredos. But where do you come in? Just perhaps, you are a Soldier of the Crimson Dragons fighting for revolution against the Torin Dynasty, the Apprentice of a Grand Sage within the towers of the Spire of Centros who has uncovered a truth about the Arbiters, or a mere Nobody destined to disappear and be forgotten. No matter who you may be, the Asterism of Law beckons you to act. A stir has begun in the lands, one seeking to right the wrongs of the past and the present. Though the lands seem to be in stagnation, turmoil rests amongst the commonfolk. Over the horizon awaits the misdeeds of those in power, along with the machinations of those who seek it. One way or another, your journey begins. And you are not alone. The world awaits you to take the first steps, as the petals amongst the breeze begin your tale. About me

An intermediate player and GM, getting my start in a homebrew kitchensink Pokemon 5e campaign with mechanics I initially developed. Then I learnt about the wonderful entry system of D&D5e, and continued GMing it since 2022, branching off into Kids on Bikes and crafting my spin-off system Amongst Eternity, as well as GMing and playing for Pokemon Tabletop Reunited 1e and 2e. I then went on and developed my own branch of PTR1e called Pokemon Tabletop Fates, during which I began my mythology-oriented Daggerheart campaign that is still ongoing to this day the week I discovered Daggerheart and bought the Core Rulebook. I'm open to learning new systems and am more than happy to learn with players without charge, and like to keep an open mind when it comes to TTRPGs. I deeply enjoy mechanics that are baked into the roleplaying aspect of systems, but have a natural interest in crunchy mechanics when the situation calls for it. Overall, I am a huge fan of my players' PCs, and am of the belief that the world should be tailoured to PCs in a significant way, even if it may be less grandiose than the entire scale of the campaign. I prefer running long-term campaigns, so as to flesh out the world and the PCs as they live within it, but am more than happy to accommodate for shorter adventures.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will go through a Session Zero together, crafting character ideas and archetypes as you (the players) discuss amongst yourselves on which types of characters you'll be playing. We'll take our time to create each character through the careful steps outlined within the Core Rulebook, as well as crafting a carefully-set backstory for each character along with the setting's unique form of backgrounds: your respective Star within the Asterism of Law! We'll establish relationships between each character, discuss possible options in how we wish to begin our campaign, and altogether get to know each other as we build each character and tailour the world around their stories! I will most certainly be available to assist in creating characters, and run through each step with careful consideration on what you wish to create and play.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Each player will be required to do / have the following: - Join Silver's Cloud's Discord Community to connect with various players on-and-off my games. - A Demiplane Account. - A browser that can run FoundryVTT (For more important battles! Subject to change). - To have fun!

What Silver's Raincloud brings to the table

As your GM, I intend to provide an experience that focuses on your enjoyment and what you seek to get out of playing Daggerheart! Spotlighting you to take the reins of your PC's story, a world which exists not only on its own but in a way that matters to you and your PC is what I aim to provide. I'll provide detailed maps of the world of Eredos, a public depot of notes about the world which you will have access to, and my own time to help you immerse yourself deeper and deeper into the Tales. In terms of gameplay, I intend to provide an extremely lightweight and smooth experience as we play through each session, making sure that the Rule of Cool is followed! But, do not fret, for intense combats where each decision matters remain on the table for parties who choose to do so. Roleplay and combat will go side-by-side, as is the nature of these things, with each scene we find ourselves in being important to the narrative (unless you seek the slice-of-life characteristics of the campaign)! On the subject of audiowork, I am most certainly no voice actor nor musician. But, I'll do my best to provide an immersive space in which you are able to feel as if you and yourself were in the scene. Overall, my goal is to make sure you get both your money's worth and your time's worth, while being able to have a good time telling a story together.

Homebrew rules

- At the start of each Session, I usually spend a few minutes asking players for recaps! I award players graciously afterwards. - Consumables and more gritty mechanics are less encouraged in my sessions. Though combats may be multiple, they are there mainly to push the narrative. Think Dimension 20! - I tend to make PCs roll much more on average, thus increasing the variance of Hope and Fear. Nonetheless, I use Fear in various ways, such as: advancing a Scene forward, increasing tension within a moment, or requiring a PC to use an Experience relevant to the Scene! Each of these will be noted in the Safety Sheet I will naturally provide.

Safety

How Silver's Raincloud creates a safe table

I will be providing a Safety Sheet PDF in which you will be able to cross your Lines and Veils. Afterwards, a master sheet of these Lines and Veils (with varying degrees of detail depending on the player's wishes to their privacy) will be provided to the entire table. All of these will be done through Discord, along with a simple Hand Raise rule on the call to assert X, N, and Os digitally. We will go over each of these again every five or so Sessions to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and feels themselves to be understood and cared for during the campaign's run! During Session Zero, introductions will be made as a simple icebreaker. Then, we will go over the Safety Sheet, as well as X, N & Os together, along with making our PCs, collaborative worldbuilding, and deciding on how we wish the campaign to start together. A checklist of what is to be done during Session Zero will be provided at least a day before the Session, so that players can anticipate what sort of questions or goals we may have as a group.
