About the adventure
Two cities... -- One is the seat of a holy empire on the brink of apocalypse. -- The other is waiting to reap the plunder of a hellish cataclysm. Which do you call home? And could you be the heroes that bring a whole city back from damnation? In this adventure, you will: 🪓Hunt down a serial killer! 👿Come face to face with devils and demons! 🏍️Drive, customize, and fight in Infernal War Machines! An adventure that will force you to question your loyalties and take you places you hoped you'd never go, Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus weaves your character into the intrigues of Hell. Note for fans of Baldur's Gate: 📖 Lore may or may not match previously published WotC material and Baldur's Gate video games. Internal consistency applies to this iteration of the adventure only. 📅Please note that this is a long campaign. However, it is neatly divided into three acts with an optional fourth act for those who want to continue the adventure. This allows players to hop out at narratively satisfying moments if needed.

About me
My name is Xan! I've been playing D&D since I was six. I started DM-ing about five years ago. My first group ran for about a year and a half before life moved us on to other things. After that, my main outlet for gaming was running a D&D club for 3rd-5th grade students at the school where I was a teacher. We taught them how to play and trained them as DMs so they could run games by themselves. I DM part-time for a company called Dungeons and Drafts. Last year, had the opportunity to DM with Cleric Games at Galaxy Con in Raleigh. Overall, I would describe my style as immersive and personalized. I prioritize making the settings and stories feel personal to my players, even when running pre-written adventures.

Creating your character
- You may bring ideas to Session 0, but be ready to be flexible based on the story and what other players are doing. - The traditional method of rolling stats is preferred; you can use standard array if you'd rather. - Starting Level: 1 - Characters will be created during Session 0. We can finalize details via Discord after that. - I'm open to content outside of 2024 rules.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
- Discord and Roll20 accounts - Access to my Discord will be provided privately. - Stable internet - Microphone - Camera preferred but not required

How Xan creates a safe table
🌈 My hope is to draw a primarily LGBTQIA2+ and/or neurodivergent crowd. It should be our shared expectation that we are respectful, welcoming, and flexible. We'll discuss this further in Session 0. ❤️ Beginners welcome and encouraged: I have teaching experience and I love introducing people to D&D. 🦺 I will send a link to a Lines and Veils document. This can be adjusted throughout our time together. 🦺 XNO's in Discord DMs. 🦺 DMs open for aftercare. 💫 Stars and Wishes after each session.
