Creating your character
Don't worry about knowing the rules beforehand! Before the adventure begins, I will walk you through making a Level 1 character from scratch. We will build your hero step-by-step together, explaining what choices like Class, Race, and Stats actually mean in simple terms. Once your character is ready, we’ll run through a short, hands-on tutorial adventure designed to let you test out your new abilities across all stages of D&D, including basic roleplaying interaction, skill checks, and beginner-friendly combat.

Preparing for the session
To get set up for the session, please complete the following quick steps before game time: Create a free Discord account and join my private Discord server (link provided upon booking). This is where we will use voice chat. Create a free D&D Beyond account and join my Campaign link (also provided in Discord). This is where you can follow along as we build your character sheet together! Bring a working microphone and a stable internet connection. No physical dice or paid software required!

As a GM, my main goal is to create an encouraging, immersive, and fun environment for beginners, children/young adults included! I have years of experience DMing for kids aged 7 to 17! Here is what you can expect at my table: A Focused Learning Experience: This is a streamlined, focused session designed specifically for learning rather than a long, grueling 4-hour marathon. Immersion: I love bringing the world to life with immersive ambient background music and distinct character voices for the non-player characters (NPCs) you'll meet! A Supportive "Rule of Cool" Style: I prioritize fun, creativity, and learning over rigid, rules-heavy lawyering. If you have a cool idea, I'll help you figure out how to attempt it!
