About the adventure
Tomb of Annihilation is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure that takes place on the Forgotten Realms. Mainly in Chult a jungle themed Island, where you will find the sought after Temple of Annihilation, where the hope is to put an end to the curse. You can expect an adventure levels 1-11 from the main module. I will be running the Adventurers League variant which comes with a fuller story and a ton of side content for you to explore past the main module which ranges from levels 11-20, for anyone wanting more from the story.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Greetings! My name is Bryan but you can call me Plumb. I have been a Game Master for a while, I play primarily Dungeon and Dragons 5th edition and 5.5, but I have been wanting to run other systems. I have been told that I'm a very worthy wizard and a flawless duck enthusiast. Some things about me: - I like ducks If you have any questions let me know. I can't wait to run some games and have some fun :)

Creating your character
Will this happen during the first session, or before it starts? - before, you will NEED to bring at least 2-5 backup characters before session 1. How will stats be decided? - we will use point buy. Where will the characters be created? - you can create them in D&D beyond, or alternatively you can create them directly into the foundry server. Are there any specific books they should or shouldn't refer to? - you can use any of the wotc 5.5 books, monsters of the multiverse (exclude the stats from the species), and third party approved by me.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord for voice calls and messages. And you will need a PC that can run any simple browser for the foundry virtual table top
What Plumb brings to the table
I try to run my games as close to Rules As Written as possible. Using foundry vtt you can visualize the battle field or player role-play moments. I try and be an open DM rolling on the table for all to see, and giving my players more in-depth knowledge about current situations. I'm here to have fun, and I want everyone at the table too as well, so lets do that.
Homebrew rules
Like I said I run this mainly RAW. BUTT this is a hardcore campaign so I will lay out those rules. 1. We will use XP, instead of spitting XP up among the players, we will be taking the total amount of XP dividing it by 2 then each player gets that much XP. yes XP Inflation, you will need it. 2. When you die (and in this campaign death is basically permanent), you will pull out one of your backup characters and level them up to the minimum current level. (this means if there is a dungeon you can enter that is 1-4 then your new character is level 1, if the module expects you to be levels 5-7 then your character is level 5) Yes there will be a level mismatch among the party. (trust me this is the most fun way to play d&d) 3. In the event of a Total Party Kill, you Items can still be recovered by finding your corpses wherever you died at, this is important for recovering important magical MacGuffins. 4. You will all be affected by the death's curse (we will ignore the 20 day plot hole that this creates), every time your character takes a long rest your maximum hit points are reduced by 1, this effect cannot be undone until the curse has been lifted. (gives your character a reason to risk their lives to save the realm)
