About me
I am currently a 20 year old University student who started playing D&D through DM’ing some sessions for my friends that never truly reached the conclusion of a campaign due to scheduling troubles ( a common tragedy I know) but recently with having more of a “regular schedule” nowadays I’ve been able to run some semi regular sessions for other strangers I found through the different nooks and crannies of the internet all in a Homebrew world of my own! Experience wise I’d say I have a solid amount of experience to not be considered a “Baby DM” anymore but I’m still always learning new things every day and plan to continue doing so! I love the creative and social aspects of TTRPGs and so I wanted to use this place as a way of meeting and interacting with new people from all over!

Creating your character
I would like to run a free session 0 where everyone is given a chance to discuss the setting and what character they would like to play. Roll for 4d6 for each stat and take the 3 highest number as the result for each of the stats Characters will be created and managed through foundry and start at level 1 During character creation I would like for the players to discuss long term, and mid term goals for their characters to encourage proactive gameplay! I thankfully have access to most DnD content so choosing from the expanded list of subclasses for characters should not be too much of an issue if at all
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will be running the game through foundry and discord of which you would need an account on the latter! On the foundry side of things I will be sharing a direct link/ip that connects to a server that you can access through a web browser so no need to download anything on that front! I will send a link to a discord server that the players would be able to join to faciliate the VC part of the game
What Malek brings to the table
I like to run a mix of combat centric and combat as a last option encounters I am also dabbling in puzzles for players to solve especially incorporating in-character role play into the puzzles themselves I have an app called Voicemod that allows me to do some character voices I would not be able to otherwise but I do use it sparingly as it can be a bit jarirng to understand the actual content of what is being said sometimes- I like to follow the rules of the game however I do believe that sometimes there is indeed a need to be flexible with them especially when it makes way for a more fun overall experience! I make most of my own maps for the encounters I have so I can usually adapt feedback on what would make them more fun to play in On the music side of things foundry has a built in music system however I have not utilized it to its limit yet and would always be open to suggestions for background tracks during sessions!

How Malek creates a safe table
During session 0 and before session 1 I like to ask all the players what they are uncomfortable with as a group and also privately in case anyone is hesitant to share. After each session I like to debrief with the group to see what works and what doesn't as well as anything they would like added/changed!
