About the adventure

Taking place over 200 years after the end of Dragon Ball Z, the universe itself has changed in uncountable ways with factions rising and falling with each passing day. But one thing has remained the same, new young people with the urge to explore and conquer challenges have been born and set forth into the wide world around them. You are some of these bright young stars, looking to write your names amongst those of the champions. Our story begins at the central hub of most of the universe's finest people, places, and products: Earth~! For obvious reasons, in the last several hundred years, Earth has shot up from somewhat of a backwater in most of the galaxy's eyes to being one of the Crowning Jewels of the Galactic Patrol's Core Worlds Alliance. And thanks to that, it is one of the safest places in the galaxy from external threats. But that doesn't mean there isn't anything to do. With many of the world's greatest heroes having passed or left the planet, rumors of coming attacks have been spreading and the general public has been getting...antsy. Despite the Galactic Patrol's best efforts, crime has been on the rise. And what a better way for a brave new batch of heroes, recruits, and other such characters to prove themselves to the powers that be than to clean up the streets and start to make your names known~? The future lies uncertain as forces outside the GPs control start to build strength and creep ever slowly out of the shadows...Will you be able to gain power and prowess quick enough to hold off the coming tide, or will you be forced to scramble for survival? Find Out This Time on, Dragon Ball: New Millennium!

Character creation

Creating your character

We will go over Character Creation in more detail during the Session 0. But for the most part we will be using the 2014 5e rules, with a Dragon Ball Rework I have played with in the past (Linked Below). All you need to do before session 0 is come up with an idea for a Level 1 Character and come up with at least a simple backstory (1-3 Paragraphs is usually plenty to start.) that we can build upon together to really make sure you feel like you're a part of the world. We will be using Rolled Stats for Characters (We will roll together during session 0), You may choose to either Roll HP or take Average for each level after 1st, and all characters will be starting off with a Special Item that I will make myself and present to you in private. All these items are custom made by me as a small boon that will grow in strength alongside the party. As stated above, this will be using a Homebrew Setting and Content Rework separate from the normal D&D5e Books, and this is that content: Races and Species: https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Races_(Dragon_Ball_Supplement) New Class (Everyone will play as the Martial Artist Class but it is HIGHLY versatile and customizable, meaning no two characters will be the same regardless of that fact): https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Martial_Artist_(Dragon_Ball_Supplement)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please have a Microphone, A Stable Internet Connection, and a Functioning Computer (PC or Laptop). I will be running this campaign in English Only, so please be Fluent enough to adequately communicate in English. A Discord and Roll20 account are also required, but both are entirely free to sign up for, and can be run on an Internet Browser with no downloads required. A basic understanding of 5e is also appreciated, but as we will be using a large amount of Homebrew Content for this game, you do not need to know it inside and out by any means. Please read over the information and links provided in the Character Creation section of this game ad. We will go over character creation in detail together and can work out character concepts once you've joined up, but it never hurts to familiarize yourself with the new material.

What Obi-Wan brings to the table

This campaign will be held over Roll20, a Virtual Tabletop (VTT), to store Character Sheets, Perform Rolls, and View Maps/Art used to set the scene, along side Discord for the Voice Chat and Information Posting. As a GM, I do voices for all the NPCs my players meet along the way and have been told I am quite good at them. While I don't have an official catalog of work, I have done some very minor Voice Acting for Friends and have been a DM/Player of various TTRPGs for over a decade now, honing my craft all the while. I play music/ambiance for all of my sessions, doing my best to fit the current mood and stylings of the scene before you to make them as intense and enrapturing as possible. If I can make the rest of the world fade away as you get drawn so deeply into the scene, I've succeeded at my job. I tend to be a bit more on the Rules-Lite side of things for most of my systems. If you can give me a reasonable explanation for something, I tend to allow it at least once. I love allowing Rule Of Cool moments, so long as they aren't breaking the system too much or taking enjoyment away from other players. Overall, I'd like to think I am a fairly attentive and creative DM with a reasonable pool of experiences to draw upon to make my games as fun and inviting as possible for a wide array of people. I will do everything within my power to make this game (and any others I may run for any of you lovely people in the future) one to remember.

Safety

How Obi-Wan creates a safe table

As a GM, It is part of my job to make sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and is enjoying the experience of my campaigns. I check in on people at the end of every session, make sure to take at least one break over the course of it, and do my best to make all my players feel welcome and allowed to speak up at any time if something is making them uncomfortable or if they need a moment to collect themselves. My session 0s are primarily designed to help get people accustomed to the system I'm using if they need it, introducing people to each other to make sure the group will work well together, and running over all the important details on each player's comfort levels. In addition to a dedicated Session 0 with the entire group, I always do my best to answer any questions sent to me in private between or before games, and help develop character ideas to the fullest.
