About the adventure

From Street Thieves to Crime Lords You begin at the very bottom of the criminal underworld: unknown, untested, and hungry for something more. Small jobs and risky opportunities may earn you coin, but more importantly, they may attract the attention of the city's Thieves' Guild. Getting noticed is only the beginning. To earn your place among its ranks, you'll have to prove that you have the skill, nerve, and loyalty to survive the trials ahead. Once inside, an entire underworld opens before you. Plan and execute elaborate heists, infiltrate guarded estates, steal supposedly impossible prizes, gather secrets, conduct espionage, sabotage rivals, and accept assassination contracts where preparation can matter more than the blade itself. As your reputation grows, so will the stakes. You'll become entangled with rival criminals, dangerous guild factions, wealthy merchants, nobles, spies, assassins, and powerful people who would rather control the underworld than admit it exists. This is a long-term campaign built around player choice, planning, intrigue, and creative problem-solving. There won't always be one "correct" way to complete a job. Scout your target, gather information, recruit contacts, create disguises, bribe the right person, find another entrance—or abandon the plan entirely when everything inevitably goes wrong. Combat is part of the game, but a clever crew may accomplish things that brute force never could. You don't need to play a Rogue to belong here. Bards can become master con artists, Wizards arcane burglars, Fighters feared enforcers, Rangers scouts and trackers, and countless other characters can find their own place in a criminal crew. Whatever path you choose, you'll begin as nobodies trying to survive the streets. How far you rise—and what you're willing to do when power is finally within reach—is up to you.

About me

Hello everyone! Greetings from Greece! I've been delving into the world of roleplaying games for over 15 years now, with around 10 years of experience as a Game Master. While my heart remains true to the timeless allure of DnD 3.5 edition, I've also developed a fondness for running Cthulhu, Savage Worlds, and I'm always eager to explore new systems. My passion lies in fostering immersive roleplay, orchestrating epic battles, and crafting captivating adventures that leave players on the edge of their seats. As a business owner, I cherish the flexibility of my schedule, allowing me to delve into professional gameplay experiences for the sheer joy of it, while seeking players who are equally devoted to character development and the intricate tales that unfold. Beyond the gaming realm, I find solace in horseback riding, and I've also found myself drawn to the world of arts, wearing the hats of both a singer and an occasional actor. Initially, my journey into acting was motivated by a desire to enhance my skills as a Dungeon Master. However, my profound love for the arts, including playing the piano and professional singing, has led me to embrace the world of theater, where I've actively participated in numerous productions. Looking forward to connecting with fellow enthusiasts and weaving unforgettable stories together!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will begin at Level 1, at the very start of their criminal careers. You are not yet legendary thieves, master assassins, or feared crime lords—you'll have the opportunity to become them. Character creation will take place before your first session, and I'm happy to work with you individually to develop a character who fits naturally into the campaign and has their own reasons for entering the criminal underworld. We will use the 2024 D&D 5e rules, with compatible legacy 2014 character options available with GM approval. Characters will be created and managed through D&D Beyond, and we'll use Point Buy for ability scores. You are not required to play a Rogue. In fact, a varied crew is encouraged! Almost any class can bring something valuable to a life of crime: a Bard might be the crew's face and con artist, a Wizard an arcane infiltrator, a Fighter an enforcer, or a Ranger a scout and tracker. What matters most is creating a character who has a reason to take risks, work with the crew, and seek a place in the underworld. We'll also create connections between the characters before play begins, so you'll start the campaign as a crew rather than a collection of strangers who have no reason to trust one another.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

efore your first game, you'll need: A Discord account for voice chat, campaign communication, and sharing information between sessions. A free Roll20 account to access the virtual tabletop, maps, handouts, character information, and dice rolling. A working microphone and a stable internet connection. A webcam is not required. Your completed character, created according to the campaign's character creation guidelines. Once you join the campaign, you'll receive invitations to the private Discord server and Roll20 game. That's it! Come ready to plan, scheme, take risks, and discover whether your crew has what it takes to survive the underworld.

What Antigoni brings to the table

I aim to create an immersive, character-driven game where your choices genuinely shape how the story unfolds. Expect memorable NPCs with distinct personalities and voices, atmospheric music and sound, detailed maps and handouts, and a fully prepared Roll20 Premium game with Dynamic Lighting to bring locations, infiltrations, and encounters to life. Heists and missions are designed as situations rather than puzzles with one predetermined solution. You'll be able to gather intelligence, scout locations, discover weaknesses, make contacts, create a plan, and then watch that plan survive—or spectacularly fall apart—once it's put into action. Creative ideas are encouraged, and the world will react to your successes, failures, enemies, and growing reputation. I enjoy a balance of roleplay, exploration, intrigue, and tactical combat. Combat can be dangerous when violence is the wrong tool for the job, and preparation can give you a significant advantage. Social encounters, stealth, deception, investigation, and clever use of spells and abilities can be every bit as important as winning a fight. I generally follow the rules while leaving room for creative solutions and cinematic moments when they make sense. My goal isn't to lead you through a predetermined story—it's to give you a living criminal underworld full of opportunities, dangers, and consequences, and let your crew decide what kind of legends they become.

Safety

How Antigoni creates a safe table

Before the campaign begins, we will have a Session Zero dedicated to making sure everyone is comfortable with the themes and tone of the game. During Session Zero, we'll discuss Lines & Veils, establish personal boundaries, and agree on the level of detail we're comfortable with for the campaign's darker themes, including crime, violence, assassination, and other potentially sensitive situations. We'll also discuss expectations for the group, character concepts, party dynamics, and the overall tone of the campaign so that everyone begins the adventure knowing what kind of game we're creating together.
