About the adventure

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Welcome ✨ Beginners Welcome ✨ Curse of Strahd is a horrific and thrilling adventure; dropping the players into a nightmarish sandbox, from which escape will become an overriding priority. The player characters must contend with all manner of gothic horror monstrosities; most pressingly, the titular vampire lord that invited them to dinner... 💥The beloved classic adventure - now ported to Pathfinder 2nd Edition💥 🗡️High Stakes Roleplay with Three-Dimensional Characters 🤺Gripping & Satisfying Combat 🎭Excellent Voice Acting 🎨Gorgeous, Layered Maps & Artwork 🎼Impeccable Soundtracks Expect fast-paced combat and roleplay in this timeless adventure originally penned for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition; now brought to you improved, updated, and translated to the Pathfinder 2nd Edition system for 1st - 11th leveled characters -------------------------------------------- REVIEWS for Dabinski's Curse of Strahd 2e games! "It is indescribable the feeling I get when the weekend comes around and it is time to play Curse of Strahd again. It has been the best experience that I have ever had in my decade of playing TTRPGs. This campaign has hit on so many levels. Dread, rage, disgust, horror, sadness, despair, joy, triumph, love - fricking every emotion under the mists shrouded sun has run through my veins while playing this campaign." -Aidan "It was an exceptional experience seeing so many things translated into 2e so masterfully, and Dabinski's ever-present skill showcasing every aspect of the campaign to its fullest was a great experience." -Vee "So, this campaign was not only my first ever Curse of Strahd, but also my first ever Pathfinder game! Dabs nailed the atmosphere and balance between combat and player-to-NPC interactions, stark horror and comedy, loss and hope, and freedom of choice without us losing the way of the story. Easily one of the best-directed stories I've been able to take part in." -Natalie "There's not a whole lot of mercy in Dabs's Barovia, but what there is is full of grace and joy and healing." -Joel -------------------------------------------- Pathfinder 2nd Edition is a TTRPG which excels at encouraging players to make meaningful choices. Whether at the level of character creation, or that of the in-the-moment crisis; player characters have a lot of options. The system is deep, but remains accessible to new players. You'll find its combat and exploration systems feel intuitive and rewarding. The Foundry Virtual Tabletop makes this adventure into a truly premium RPG experience. High-quality maps with delightful visual effects, animations for spells and attacks, automated calculation of roll bonuses and penalties, and much more. PF2e on Foundry is immersive, fast-paced, and easy to pick up.

About me

🔵 34 - he/him 🔵 "Heya" When I run games, my goal is to set a stage for my players. I make sure everything is right; my character work, the soundtrack, the worldbuilding, the narrative cohesion, and most importantly - the table vibe. I want to foster an environment where my players can most comfortably share their creative selves. To me, that means not only immersing them in a game world that feels real and enticing, but also cultivating a gaming environment where players feel heard, and among friends. In addition to being an enduring RPG enthusiast, I've spent most of my life performing. Plenty of time on stage as well as in the booth; my voice is my instrument, and I love no performance as much as I love filling the role of GM. I have long been fascinated by this collaborative medium, and I'm seeking players who similarly wish to explore the narrative possibilities that only RPGs can offer. Let's ham it up and roll some dice! <<Check out the "Youtube" link at the bottom for an old demo of my character work! It's a bit on the loud side right off the bat so be prepared>>

Character creation

Creating your character

Guidelines for character creation can be found in our Discord server, in the "curse-of-strahd-primer" channel. At our Session 0, we'll congregate in Foundry and in Discord to discuss as a group what kind of adventuring party we want to create. We'll go over the basic game rules and create our 1st-level characters together. Anyone joining us after our Session 0 will need to schedule a one-on-one chat with me *prior* to your first session with us - so I can catch you up on everything you need to know!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is a mic, a decent internet connection, and an active imagination! We'll use Session 0 as an opportunity to familiarize ourselves with character creation, as well as Foundry VTT. If you're joining us after our Session 0, you'll just need to schedule a one-on-one chat with me *prior* to your first session with us - so I can catch you up on everything you need to know!

What Dabinski brings to the table

Foundry has everything we need to run the game - from maps and effects to character options and virtual dice. I'll also present some tailored rules-reminders to be accessible at any point during play.

Safety

How Dabinski creates a safe table

During Session 0 we'll discuss our various safety tools and how best to utilize them. Afterwards I'll send out the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist to get a precise record of which subjects need not be broached during our game. Consent is a constant state of flow, and I always endeavor to foster an environment where the group can discuss uncomfortable situations as they develop, if necessary - and to support one-another in finding the most equitable ways of moving forward with the game.
