Creating your character

Optional Premade Character can be provided. Each player and I will take roughly a half hour from session zero to bring their character concept to life using the Cypher Rulebooks. If a player joins after session zero, I will take a discord call with them personally to help set them up and flesh out their character. Session Zero will introduce the party to each other, and a task that needs to be completed. From there, players can tweak their characters and backstories to have prepared for the official session one.

Preparing for the session

Optional Premade Character sheets and Minis can be provided! Come up with a character concept, and a simple "real world" character arch you would like to achieve as a character living in the post apocalyptic world. Have discord installed, and make sure you have a roll20 account made and ready to go. A Mic of some kind will be necessary to communicate during the session, no webcam is needed.

What DJ brings to the table

I have the rulebooks for Cypher, Old Gods of Appalachia, The Strange, and Numenera, all compatible with my custom setting. I will also send you the unity file for the Mini you create in Heroforge, so you can convert it and 3D print it if you like!

How DJ creates a safe table

Players can expect a lot of roleplay and freedom. This module is very much a surviving and thriving in the post apocalypse kind of game, if that were a genre. 👀 SIGHTS👀 AND 📢SOUNDS📢: I put effort into curating each session, incorporating music, SoundFX, and captivating battle maps to enhance the overall experience. 🤺COMBAT: I strive to create challenging encounters without making my players feel punished. Typically, I incorporate one (5e) to two (Cypher) combats per session. The goal is to make my players feel like they have properly been challenged, and feel like it was a rewarding experience. 🎭ROLEPLAY: My favorite aspect of TTRPGs is roleplay. I actively facilitate roleplay among my players, aiming to deepen their connection with their characters. I relish the engaging conversations my players have with each other and with me as the GM. 🧩PUZZLES: I am not particularly fond of puzzles, but I occasionally include them, always offering an alternative solution to keep the game flowing. 🎲Table Rules🎲 1. Low Stakes PVP Only: PvP is rare and requires full table consent. 2. Coaching: I'm always willing to help players learn and understand game mechanics. 3. No Infighting: We prioritize a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Harassing or picking on other players is not acceptable. 4. LGBTQ Inclusive and Friendly: Inclusivity is of utmost importance to me, and I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQ individuals. 🏳️‍🌈
