About the adventure
Queen Forlorne rules Whelvia through terror, prophecy, and an army of cursed weredrakes stripped of their former lives. Most people believe these creatures are monsters beyond saving—but deep within the forest, one of them has remembered his name. Tomas was only a boy when the queen transformed him. Now he is frightened, hunted, and beginning to reclaim the humanity buried beneath his scales. The heroes must find Tomas before the queen’s knights drag him back for “reconditioning.” But the royal hunters are not the only threat. Angry townsfolk, scarred by years of weredrake attacks, believe Tomas is bait—or simply another beast waiting to kill. Protecting him will require more than strength. The party must uncover how he broke the queen’s control, calm a community divided by grief, and decide how much they are willing to risk for someone the world has already condemned. Tears of a dragon is a dark fairy-tale Daggerheart one-shot about mercy, memory, rebellion, and finding hope in unexpected places. Expect cinematic action, emotional roleplay, investigation, difficult choices, and a climactic confrontation where saving a life may matter more than defeating an enemy. The game is beginner-friendly, with premade characters available and guidance for anyone new to Daggerheart. Experienced players are equally welcome, especially those who enjoy collaborative storytelling and character-driven decisions. This game will be played theatre of the mind through Roll20, using voice chat and visual aids rather than tactical grid combat. Characters will be created and managed through Demiplane. My GM style emphasizes an inclusive table, vivid descriptions, meaningful player choices, and sharing the spotlight so every hero gets a memorable moment. No previous knowledge of Daggerheart or the Reign of the Weredragon setting is required.

About me
Hello. Looking forward to exploring new games and systems with you all. I have GM’ed dnd5e and a bunch of pbta games but currently playing a lot of daggerheart and pathfinder 2e, also diving into starfinder 2e. Played some free league games and love learning teaching new games as well. I think one of my main strengths as a GM is my patience and ability to teach games.

Creating your character
The players will need to use demiplane to create characters and roll20 will then be able to link them. all players will be at level 1 for this one shot and use the Reign of the weredragon campaign frame. I will have full demiplane access for players that don't and share my content if needed
What to expect

Ok once you are joined in the discord. I suggest you talk to your fellow players. Try to get as much done in chat as possible, character connections the group dynamics and histories etc.. so we can just go over lines/veils and a few connection issues and start up with the one shot.
