About the adventure
Dr. Alfred Fisher was always a grim, unpleasant man. But after losing his family, his bleak worldview curdled into a dangerous obsession with the cold, lifeless void of space. That obsession has now called back. The main telescope at the local observatory has begun leaking a thick, liquid darkness that is flooding the facility. It looks only a couple of inches deep on the floor—until you step in and realize it stretches into an infinite, suffocating cosmic abyss. As agents working for the Magnus Institute, your team has been sent to investigate after a shaken PhD student, Victoria Adeyemo, managed to barely escape. Fisher is currently in the observatory’s control room, merging with the shadows into something terrible. If you can't figure out how to get inside and stop him, the void won't stop at the observatory...

Preparing for the session
All you need is a working microphone, a Discord account, and a way to view a PDF (like a web browser or standard PDF reader). Once you sign up, I’ll send you the invite link to my Discord server where we’ll run the session—no extra software downloads, VTT setups, or additional account sign-ups required. Before we kick off, you'll simply pick one of the ready-to-play premade characters, and we’ll jump right into the story!

I bring the world to life with rich storytelling, detailed visual references, tactical maps, and eerie ambient audio to set the cosmic horror mood. While we will use the system rules to keep the tension real, I prioritize a compelling narrative, clever problem-solving, and player agency over rigid rule-checking—if you come up with a creative idea that fits the scene, I’m always ready to lean into it.

How Hooli creates a safe table
Your safety and comfort at the table are my top priorities, especially when diving into dark cosmic horror. Before the session, I’ll send out the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist so we can establish everyone's lines and veils. During play, we’ll use a color-coded X-Card system (Green, Yellow, Red) managed discreetly via Discord messaging or voice, allowing anyone to pause, adjust, or skip a scene instantly with no questions asked. Finally, we’ll always wrap up with dedicated aftercare and a round of "Stars & Wishes" to decompress, celebrate awesome player moments, and ensure everyone leaves the table feeling good.
